Burgundy is the colour of the season, and I couldn’t be more excited! This deep, rich hue is popping up everywhere in fashion, and it’s time to bring it into our beauty routines, too. Whether you’re after a bold lipstick, eyeshadow, or a flattering blush, burgundy offers the perfect balance of warmth and sophistication. In this post, I’ll share my top recommendations for all things burgundy, so you can effortlessly incorporate this trend into your look.
1. Mascara
Mascara is a subtle way to incorporate colour into your makeup look. If you want to ease into burgundy beauty, mascara is a good place to start.
My pick is BADgal BANG! Mascara in Wild Plum. It has a muted berry hue that'll make all eye colours pop, especially green and blue. Vivid colour isn't all you'll get either; this best-selling mascara gives extreme volume and will boost the length of your lashes.
2. Blush
A touch of colour on the cheeks is like an instant pick-me-up for your complexion. And if you're tired of wearing peach and pink, burgundy is the perfect alternative... and it's bang on trend.
My recommendation is YSL's Make Me Blush in Berry Bang. It's a cream blush so it's an easy way to test out wearing burgundy. The silky formula can be worn sheer for something subtle or layered up for more intensity. It contains film-forming technology so it'll stay in place for up to 12 hours!
3. Lipstick
If you want to go all-in on the burgundy beauty trend, you have to pick up a lipstick. Lip colour is a great way to elevate your makeup look.
One of my favourite burgundy lipsticks is Rouge G Velvet in 940 - Le Brun Chaud. It's a soft matte finish which I think is perfect for this time of year, has an 89% skincare base that keeps lips hydrated, and a rich, vampy burgundy hue.
4. Eyeliner
Eyeliner is another subtle way to incorporate this on-trend colour into your look. A touch of burgundy along the lash line will make your eye colour stand out and make a refreshing change to black and brown.
