Nuxe Hair Prodigieux Range Review
Share
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is one of my favourite beauty products. I’ve repurchased it countless times! So when I heard Nuxe was launching a hair care range infused with its scent, I had to try it. And there’s more to love about Hair Prodigieux than just its fragrance—much more. Read on for more details on the ingredients, inspiration, packaging, and my review.
The Most Important Thing About This Range Is…
Hair Prodigieux is the result of Nuxe’s expertise in botanical oils. They’ve already put this knowledge into their skin and body care; now it’s time for your hair to reap the benefits. The range is vegan, has high levels of natural ingredients and is all about improving your hair’s health, which will boost its shine, strength and smoothness. In true Nuxe style, it’s no surprise that there’s a big focus on how this collection smells and feels – each product has a lavish texture and is enriched with the iconic, sunny smell of Huile Prodigieuse (citrus, florals and honey).
You Will Love This If…
If you want shinier, healthier hair this range has your name all over it, especially if you have dry or damaged locks in need of extra TLC. Most importantly though these products are for someone who wants to pamper their hair. From the lavish textures to its sunkissed scent, this isn’t for someone who does basic haircare. When you use Hair Prodigieux you’re in for a pampering treat.
Hero Ingredient:
The plant oil that takes centre stage in this collection is fermented pink camellia oil. Geishas have used this ingredient for centuries to care for their hair; it’s renowned for its nourishing benefits. Fermenting pink camellia oil creates glycolipids, which have a powerful repairing effect comparable to ceramides. The powerful ingredient leaves hair scales tighter and shinier.
What Products Are In The Range?
Pre Shampoo: this luxurious hair oil repairs damage to hair fibres, improving hair health.
High Shine Shampoo: this gentle gel cleanser removes impurities from your hair while providing lightweight nourishment.
High Shine Conditioner: this is your detangler. It has a light cream texture that smoothes out knots without tugging while hydrating your hair.
Nourishing Leave-In Cream: this nourishing cream shields your hair from heat up to 220°C/428°F by shielding it, making it easier to style.
How/When Do You Use The Products?
Step 1: Pre Shampoo: apply to dry hair, leave in for 10 minutes, then rinse and follow with shampoo and conditioner. For intense repair, leave the mask in for 30 minutes.
Step 2: High Shine Shampoo: apply to wet hair, massage into your scalp and rinse.
Step 3: High Shine Conditioner: apply to damp, towel-dried hair, focusing on the lengths and ends. Leave for 1 minute, then rinse.
Step 4: Nourishing Leave-In Cream: apply to towel-dried hair. Use a small amount daily on the lengths and ends of your hair. There is no need to rinse.
What’s Special About The Design?
The Hair Prodigieux range comes in metallic pink squeeze tubes/pump bottles apart from the Pre Shampoo; this is a colourway we haven’t seen before from Nuxe. It’s modern and stylish and will stand out in your bathroom for all the right reasons. The Pre Shampoo comes in a glass bottle with a pipette, a more traditional look for Nuxe that exudes Parisian chicness!
My Overall Experience
I am a little biased as I am a huge Nuxe fan. I own every Huile Prodigieuse Oil and am never without a jar of the Reve de Miel Lip Balm. I tried my best to stay neutral when testing, but there’s nothing not to love! To start, the scent is to die for – it’s the iconic Huile Prodigieuse aroma if you know it, a blend of exotic citrus, floral and honey notes. The textures are creamy and nourishing, but none of the formulas felt heavy in my hair or left it feeling greasy.
I did the complete routine. It was the perfect excuse for a pamper night – not that I need one! I’m glad I tried the Pre Shampoo as I now realise that’s a step missing in my routine. The shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling clean and smelling divine. To finish, I used the leave-in cream, which again was weightless. After blow-drying my hair, I immediately noticed that it looked shinier and healthier, but I didn’t see as many flyaways as usual. I’m looking forward to seeing the long-term benefits!
