It's the most exciting time of the year for makeup: the launch of the Christmas collections! DIOR, Givenchy, and Guerlain unveil limited editions of some of their best-sellers each year, and 2024 is no different.
This year, luxury brands have transformed our favourite products with sequins, rhinestones, and unique colourways. Here are my top picks...
1. DIOR Forever Liquid Sequins
The Forever Liquid Sequins broke the internet when they were launched last year, so we're thrilled to see them return this year! The liquid lipsticks have a glittery, highly pigmented formula that dresses the lips in a matte texture and glittery finish.
Liquid Sequins comes in a selection of shades, from rich red to burgundy and nude.
2. DIOR Ecrin Couture Iconic Palette
DIOR are spoiling us this holiday season with a multi-use makeup palette. The white and gold case is decorated with the royal motif created by Petro Ruffo, the House of Dior artist.
Inside the palette is everything needed to create a full makeup look; 4 Rouge Blush Powders, 5 Diorshow 5 Couleurs Eyeshadows, and 5 Rouge Dior Lipstick shades.
3. Guerlain Meteorites Powder - Christmas Edition
This Christmas, the best-selling Meteorites Powder tin has been covered in rhinestones. Violette, Guerlain Makeup's Creative Director, was inspired by artist Shourouk Rhaiem.
The formula inside is unchanged, a harmony of powder pearls that colour-correct, unify and boost the skin's radiance. And we can't forget the delicious, parma violet scent!
4. Guerlain Rouge G Case - Christmas Edition
Any lipstick lover will swoon at this Rouge G limited edition. Violette, Guerlain Make-Up Creative Director, has been inspired by artist Shourouk Rhaiem’s work to create this glamorous case.
The case is compatible with the all-new Rouge G Lipstick Refills (updated in 2024). If you're looking for something new, the 2024 Guerlain Christmas contains two special edition shades: 980 Le Rouge Fabuleux, a rich red, and 207 Le Beige Bijou, a pink beige.
5. Givenchy Le Rouge Interdit Intense Silk - 502 Brun Cuivre
This festive season, the iconic Le Rouge Interdit has a crystal-set case designed by Thom Walker, Givenchy Beauty's Creative Director. It oozes glamour!
The formula and finish are the same; extremely hydrating with a demi-matte finish. As for the colours, the special edition case is available in 306 Carmin Escarpin, a red with a hint of yellow, and 502 Brun Cuivre, a pinkish brown.
