Eucerin Epigenetic Serum Review
Share
Eucerin’s Epigenetic Serum is a big deal. After analysing more than 50,000 substances in the last 15 years, Eucerin scientists discovered Epicelline, the star ingredient behind it.
This serum, new for 2024, promises to “make your skin cells act younger.” We had to put it to the test.
In the photo below is Michelle, our operations admin support. As you can see from the image, Michelle’s forehead lines have rapidly reduced and smoothed. So now it’s over to me to explain how it works, and why it’s a great choice if you’re looking for an anti-ageing serum that works – she’s proof, there’s no filters or digital smoothing, only the skincare!
Vincent Warnery, CEO of Beiersdorf, comments, “It is truly life-changing what we have already achieved with our pioneering epigenetic research: Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Epigenetic Serum – a single product that fights a whole ten signs of skin aging at once and makes people look up to five years younger. With our Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Epigenetic Serum we are revolutionizing skin care – not for the first and certainly not for the last time in our Beiersdorf history.”
What is epigenetics?
Epigenetics is a term that seems to be everywhere at the moment. What is it? It involves research that shows how environment and experiences can affect genes without changing the DNA. For example, it’s part of the proof that identical twins can exhibit different health, skills, etc.
It’s all very exciting and pioneering for the skincare industry! Let’s find out more.
What does it do?
It’s an anti-ageing serum with ingredients designed to plump, hydrate, soothe, and protect the skin.
It teaches your skin cells to act younger and age slower. This helps to fade wrinkles, smooth skin, diffuse the appearance of visible pores, and brighten everything up.
The combination of humectants, emollients, antioxidants, and potential anti-inflammatory agents suggests it could suit various skin types, including those with sensitivity or dryness.
How does it work?
- Epicelline reactivates the skin’s youth genes at the root by making skin cells act younger.
- Hyaluronic Acid helps the skin retain moisture and plump skin
- Glycine Saponin is imperative to stimulate hyaluronic acid in the middle layer of the skin, where the connective tissue, blood vessels, it’s been proven to increase HA production by up to 256 on a cellular level.
- Enoxolone stops HA degrading in the skin, improving the skin’s ability to repair DNA.

When will I see results?
Clinical studies of the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Epigenetic Serum confirm visible results in 4 weeks of use. Eucerin conducted this test with over 160 women, but we also did it on our own. As you can see from our team member Michelle’s results, we can also testify to that claim.
What age group is it for?
Anyone in their late twenties and upwards can use this. When thinking about using this serum, it’s more important to focus on your skin goals rather than age, as anyone whose skincare goals are smoother, firmer, more glowing skin should try it.
What’s the texture?
Epigenetics serum is a very light fluid, not oily or thick. It dries quickly and feels soft to touch.
What does it smell like?
It’s worth noting that even though the ingredients list doesn’t include fragrance; it does have a soft floral scent, which is very similar to the scent of the hyaluron filler range.
How long will one bottle last?
I would say around 2 to 3 months based on using 4 pumps per day (2 per morning and evening).
Is it good for oily skin?
I asked an Eucerin expert what serum is best for firming oily skin. They recommended the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Ultra Light Refreshing Moisture Booster instead due to its fresh, ultra-lightweight gel texture, which is likely to be a preferred texture.
How do you use it?
The serum is to be used every morning and evening, after cleansing. One to two pumps is enough to apply all over your face and neck and decollete by patting it into the skin, then follow with your moisturiser, eye cream and SPF.
