Montale’s founder, Pierre Montale, used to create custom fragrances for the royal family in Saudi Arabia, but when he finally returned to Paris, he wanted to create a scent that encompassed the wonder and beauty of the region for the Western world. The result is the Oud Island eau de parfum, with notes of vanilla, amber and labdanum.
