You may not have realised it, but we’ve all been waiting 26 years for YSL Touche Eclat High Cover Concealer to be released. The original Touche Eclat Radiant Touch first hit the shelves in 1992, and since then it’s skyrocketed to cult-status, illuminated our complexions and caused a lot of confusion. Yes, you read that right, Touche Eclat raised a few questions; not because of its formula or golden, click-pen packaging but quite simply because everyone thought it was a concealer (it’s an illuminator). And this will still come as a surprise for many, but don’t worry if that’s you, this new release solves everything! Here’s what you need to know…

5 Fast Facts: YSL Touche Eclat High Cover

  1. Touche Eclat High Cover conceals dark circles and imperfections, while the original Touche Eclat is an illuminating pen designed to illuminate the complexion.
  2. High Cover offers medium coverage that’s extremely buildable and long-wearing, thanks to a high concentration of makeup pigments.
  3. The formula includes an anti-fatigue complex with vitamin E, which provides antioxidant action. Caffeine boosts microcirculation, and Moroccan calendula soothes the skin.
  4. Radiance is still a huge part of Touche Eclat High Cover. The finish is natural-looking and radiant, with a high level of light-generating pigments to brighten.
  5. There are 16 shades of YSL High Cover; see them all swatched below!

FAQ

Where should I apply Touche Eclat High Cover?

“How to use touche eclat pen” is one of the most googled questions in beauty, so I thought it was important that this edit had the answer! As the photo above shows, the original Touche Eclat (2) should be placed on all the high points of the face including the cheekbone, cupid’s bow and temples (all areas you want to enhance), while High Cover (2) should be placed on all areas you’d like to conceal, like dark circles, blemishes and uneven skin tone.

How do I use the pen/get the product to come out?

Touche Eclat High Cover has the same click-click pen as the original. To use it, just click the pen a few times (around 10 times usually does it), and the product will begin to come out. The pen has a brush on the end that you can use to apply the product directly to the skin, or if you prefer, pop the product on the back of your hand and use a brush of your choice.

Which colour Touche Eclat High Cover is right for me?
