Viktor & Rolf’s Good Fortune Elixir Intense, launched summer 2023 is the successor to the first Good Fortune fragrance released by the designers in 2022. This deep and sensual scent amplifies the darker floral elements of the original, making this a stronger option for anyone who loves the Eau de Parfum.
What Does It Smell Like:
The fragrance has a dark and luxurious feel. Its woody, refined scent conjures up visuals of a gloomy tropical rainforest in autumn, capturing the warm, balminess of the heat and the exotic aroma of damp tropical flowers.
Good Fortune Elixir Intense combines the deep, earthy, seductive warmth of ambery wood with the sweetness of feminine floral tones. The fragrance opens with top notes of uplifting incense, creating a warm and cosy aroma at first spritz and heading on to the enchanting heart notes of an intoxicating solar jasmine superinfusion. Finally, Viktor & Rolf bombard the senses with base notes of rich Bourbon Vanilla and comforting Caledonian Sandalwood, making this scent perfect for date night.

The scent has stayed true to its amber floral roots but with a darker edge, like a rebellious younger sister.
Good Fortune Elixir’s Longevity…
I found Good Fortune Intense warms up as the day goes on. It lasted for around 6 hours on my skin, however, I could still smell the remnants of it on my coat the morning after.
We conducted a little experiment in the office by blindfolding one of the girls to check the sillage of the scent and spraying the perfume as we got closer to her. She confirmed she could smell it from about an arms length away, so it’s definitely a more intimate fragrance.

The fragrance itself is made up of vegan ingredients. This does not lower the intensity of the scent.
My Overall Experience
I’ve really grown to love this scent, especially as one to take me into the colder months.
Its warmth and depth is comforting and that soft sweetness is almost addictive – I’ve been sniffing my wrists every couple of minutes since the first spray!
I think the bottle is unique and mysterious, I definitely haven’t had one like this on my dressing table before. The amethyst-like lid gives it that enticing, spiritual edge. I can imagine the bottle as the perfect decoration in the bedroom of a horoscope and crystal fanatic.
I’m super happy with the longevity of the scent, especially as it lasts longer on clothing.
