Vichy Purete Thermale Fresh Cleansing Gel Review
Share
After a day in the city, my skin feels grimy, dull, and tired. It’s as if I can feel the pollution sitting on my skin, and I look forward to getting home and having my face clean. But an ‘ordinary’ cleanser just won’t cut it on days like this. That’s where the Vichy Purete Thermale Fresh Cleansing Gel comes in; this face wash is specially made with city living in mind, and I’ve spent the last week putting it to the test – here’s my review…
You Will Love Vichy Purete Thermale Fresh Cleansing Gel If…
You’ll love this face wash if you live or work in a city or an environment with high pollution levels. It removes all kinds of impurities while respecting the skin, so even those with sensitive skin types can use it.
What Does It Do?
It cleanses your skin, removing everything from dirt and makeup to pollution particles while maintaining your skin’s protective and moisture barriers.
How Does It Do It?
The face wash contains niacinamide (B3); this multi-purpose ingredient has anti-blemish and skin-soothing properties that’ll help make your complexion clear, even, and comfortable. It’s also formulated with Vichy Volcanic water, glycerin and moringa, which hydrate, balance and reduce the appearance of redness.
What Does It Smell And Feel Like?
It has a very subtle, fresh scent. It’s a gel face wash that, when mixed with water, develops into a lightweight lather. It feels refreshing and hydrating; your skin doesn’t feel tight or uncomfortable afterwards.
How Long Does One Bottle Last?
If you use it this morning and night, I suggest it lasts around 3 months.
Best Place and Time To Use It?
You can use this morning and night to cleanse your face. Massage the gel into damp skin. It’ll transform into a light, airy foam when you add water. Thoroughly rinse, then follow with the rest of your skincare routine.
Purete Thermale Fresh Cleansing Gel Design and Aesthetic Is Special Because…
The face wash comes in a large, 200ml squeezy tube that’s easy to use and control – squeeze gently, and the product flows out. The colour of the packaging, a light turquoise blue, is in line with the rest of the range.
Sustainability and Values…
The formula is hypoallergenic and alcohol-free.
My Overall Experience
I’ve been using the Purete Thermale fash wash for the last week. I use it alone in the morning and as the second cleansing step (after Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse, which I use to remove my makeup) at night. It’s a very effective face wash – my skin feels clean and fresh whenever I use it. Despite its powerful cleansing qualities, my face doesn’t feel tight or uncomfortable afterwards, which is often true with foaming face washes. The foam is light and airy, which I especially love in the morning – it wakes up my skin (and me!).
