Versace Eros Energy Eau de Parfum Review

Versace-Eros-Energy-Review

Versace Eros is my husband’s favourite fragrance. I’m fond of and familiar with its fresh aroma. It’s easy to understand why so many love it; it’s effortless, clean and sophisticated. So when Versace Eros Energy was placed on my desk I was intrigued. How does it compare to the original? Why is it yellow? Will my husband love it as much. All of these questions ran through my head and led to me writing this review.

Since its debut, the Eros collection has been celebrated for its fresh, woody masculinity, inspired by the mythological figure of love and desire. With Eros Energy, Versace introduces a vibrant citrus twist that brings an exciting new dimension to the classic scent. As someone who’s followed the Eros range closely, I’m eager to see how this latest launch balances the original’s boldness with a fresh, energizing brightness. Let’s dive into its unique composition and see what makes it stand out.

Important bits:

• Launched in UK 1st September 2024.

• Available in 50ml, 100ml, and 200ml.

• Fragrance family citrus-woody.

• Key notes are Italian Bergamot, Italian Lemon, Grapefruit and Musk Oakmoss.

• Part of the Eros fragrance range.

What Does It Smell Like?

When I first smelled Versace Eros Energy, I was instantly struck by its vibrant citrus burst. The top notes of bergamot, blood orange, and lime radiated energy. It’s extremely lively and refreshing. As it settled, the scent became warmer and more complex, with hints of patchouli and oakmoss that reminded me of the earthy richness of Creed Aventus. It’s playful yet sophisticated, perfect for everyday wear, and its longevity is impressive – it lasted over seven hours on me. Eros Energy feels like sunshine in a bottle, bright and joyful, but still grounded in natural, woody notes.

Top Notes: Italian Bergamot, Blood Orange Italian Orprur™, Peruvian Lime Oil.

Heart Notes: Vert de Mandarin, Italy Orpur™ Grapefruit, Italian Lemon.

Base Notes: Patchouli, Indonesia Orpur™, Musk Oakmoss.

Versace Eros Energy BottleHow Does It Compare To The Original Eros?

Eros Energy is more citrusy – much more. But once the zingy top notes settle the fresh-woody DNA of Eros comes through. Whereas Eros is a great everyday scent year-round, I’d say Eros Energy is the perfect summertime aroma. The addition of sparkling lemon and grapefruit notes adds a cheerful twist that will make you feel confident and full of positivity, making it an ideal companion for the warmer months.

How Long Does Eros Energy Last?

On the skin, Eros Energy lasts impressively long for a citrus-based fragrance—over 7 hours of wear! Its strong silage ensures that those around you will catch the scent even from a distance. This longevity means you can confidently wear it throughout the day without needing to reapply often.

When’s The Best Time To Wear Eros Energy?

It’s perfect for both daytime and evening wear, but its zesty freshness shines brightest during the day. This perfume is an excellent match for spring and summer, particularly on sunny days when its citrus notes come alive.
