Urban Decay Quickie Concealer Review
Share
I’ve found my new magic wand to remove acne marks and discolouration around my eyes. It’s Urban Decay Quickie Concealer, their latest base launch for 2023. I am so impressed with this; I know you will be too. Here’s why…
Why You’ll Love It In 41 Seconds
What Does Quickie Concealer Look Like On The Skin?
Here I’ve used 30cp all over to counteract my redness. To be honest, I probably should have gone for the neutral shade to balance my tan and redness, but focusing on the coverage for now, you can see its full coverage and the fact it looks natural, almost skin-like, you can still see pores, but I’m ok with that.
If you love your Tarte Shape Tape or your Elf camo concealer, or your Clarins Instant Light concealer, I think you’ll love this. If you’re into convenience and vegan formulas are important, this ticks all the boxes to be your next concealer.
Which Quickie Concealer Shade Is For Me?
There are 20 shades to choose from that vary from light to dark. I can’t iterate enough how important it is to pick the right tone. Look out for the specific letters next to each shade as they stand for what tone each is. If you need advice before purchasing, please DM me; nailing the tone will get you the desired result.
Tone guide for choosing the right concealer:
- CP is for cool pink tones
- WY is for warm yellow tones
- NN is neutral
- WO is warm orange
- WR is warm red

What’s The Coverage Like?
This concealer is full coverage. When you apply it, the pigment is rich straight away. This is on purpose to be able to cover acne, scarring, dark circles etc. After trying it, I worked out you can custom create less coverage and more. It’s all the in tool.
For full coverage, apply directly to area you want to cover and use the brush in a patting motion to blend. The denseness of the brush means you can build and layer efficiently.
For less coverage, apply the concealer on your hand or palette, then pick up the product with the brush and then work it in; you’ll have more control to build this way.
Here’s how it looks up close. As you can see, it removed my redness, hid my spot, and removed the purple tones under my eyes. It made everything look more even.
What’s Special About The Packaging?
You get 16.4 ml of concealer and a brush to apply – genius. I love how sort of stubby it is, and dence is because you can really get into nooks and crannies, and you can do some real targeted application. The doe-foot application is a good size. Small enough to target conceal, but also big enough to apply all over as a foundation.
The design is so portable. It’s cabin-bag friendly and so slimline for your makeup bag. It’ll save you space and time.
What Finish Is The Quickie Concealer?
It’s not dewy or radiant. It’s got a natural satin finish. It’s not matte, but it can be made matte with powder.
How Can I Use The Quickie Concealer?
You can use the concealer in multiple ways. It’s great at covering cover spots and pigmentation and works well under the eyes to hide bags or darkness.
Because of its larger format and brush, I experienced using it as a foundation, as a highlighter to contour, and I was happy with the results. Each formula was the same; they blended well and created a soft focus finish that I loved. I use 70nn to contour, 30cp as my base colour and 20cp to highlight under my eyes,
How Long Does Urban Decay Quickie Concealer Last?
When I used the quickie concealer as a targeted concealer, it lasted about 6 hours. Powdering over the top and set with the all-nighter spray added at least another 4 hours too.
When I used the formula all over for a full face, I got around 7 hours of longevity before I felt the need to powder. It stayed looking fresh all day and didn’t dissipate or cling to my dry patches like some other concealers do.
