Mugler Angel Fantasm Eau de Parfum Review
Share
Angel Fantasm is exotic, aestheically pleasing and something I feel the collection has been missing for a while.
Launched in August 2024, Fantasm is a playful yet sophisticated perfume; it’s a departure from the original Angel, offering a lighter, more approachable alternative. I can’t not mention The black. I love it, and what drew me in. But! There’s so much more to know about this Angel flanker. Let’s get into the notes, longevity and more.
What Does Angel Fantasm Smell Like?
Angel Fantasm is a tutti-fruit creamy, coconutty perfume that smells like a strong pina colada. It’s juicy, luminous and radiant. It’s like the original Angel has been on a tropical holiday and come home with a new twist.
The notes are pineapple, coconut and tiare flower accord; patchouli essence and bourbon vanilla.
How Does Fantasm Compare To The Original Angel?
Fantasm is sweeter, with less patchouli and more exotic aromas, such as pineapple and coconut, which are overpowered by the original’s more caramelly, chocolatey tones. Also, visually, Fanstasm comes in a black star bottle, while the original is light blue.
Fantasm is bold but not as heady and strong as the original, which means it’s a good perfume to try if you like the idea of the original Angel but find it too overpowering.
Angel Fantasm Longevity…
Fantasm is an Eau de Parfum which traditionally will last between 4 to 6 hours. On me, fantasm lasted just that. I found that:
First spray: It lingers in the room; people walking past you will smell it.
4 hours: Someone sitting next to you on transport could smell it.
5+ hours plus: you’d need to be hugging or kissing someone to pick it up.
Best Time To Wear Angel Fantasm
From my point of view, Angel Fantasm is a versatile fragrance that can be worn both day and night. Its juicy, fruity top notes lend themselves to daytime wear, while the warm, creamy base notes make it suitable for evening occasions.
Seasonally, Angel Fantasm is a true chameleon. The tropical pineapple and coconut notes evoke summer days, while the underlying warmth of vanilla and patchouli make it cosy for autumn and winter. It’s a fragrance that can brighten up cooler months with its sunny disposition.
Angel Fantasm Design and Aesthetic…
Angel Fantasm’s black star bottle is a bold departure from the classic Angel silhouette, yet it undeniably carries the signature Mugler aesthetic. The sleek, modern design is both striking and sophisticated, making it a standout on any dressing table.
I appreciate the brand’s commitment to sustainability with the refillable option. It’s a thoughtful touch that allows perfume lovers to enjoy the beautiful bottle without compromising environmental responsibility.
