Thierry Mugler Alien Hypersense Eau de Parfum Review
Share
Alien Hypersense is a refreshing change to the intense flankers in our What’s New section. Many of the latest releases are deeper, richer interpretations of cult classics, but Hypersense is a lighter, creamier take on the iconic Alien perfume. Why? Well, Alien is big and bold enough; this is for those who want to enjoy a more pared-back version! Here’s my review of this highly anticipated adaptation…
What Is Mugler Alien Hypersense Inspired By?
Hypersense is part of the iconic Alien range, which takes inspiration from the mysteries of the universe and the transformative power of self-awareness. It’s designed for those who seek to explore the unknown and embrace their inner strength, capturing the essence of discovery and cosmic energy.
You Will Love Mugler Alien Hypersense If…
If you enjoy fragrances that are bold yet sophisticated, Mugler Alien Hypersense is for you. Its unique blend of floral and woody notes offers a captivating scent that is both powerful and refined. It’s perfect for those who want a fragrance that stands out without being overwhelming. If you’ve tried Alien and found it too heavy overpowering, Hypersense is the Alien for you.
What Does It Smell Like:
Alien Hypersense is a floral-woody perfume. It has an intriguing balance of vibrant and calming notes, starting with a burst of citrus and evolving into a warm, woody finish.
Top notes: Citrus Accord, Bergamot, Jasmine
Heart notes: Tuberose, Ylang-Ylang
Base notes: White Amber, Sandalwood, Vanilla
How’s Alien Hypersense Different from the Rest of the Range?
Alien Hypersense is a lighter, creamier take on the original Alien perfume. It keeps the essence of the original but adds a bright, fruity twist that makes it perfect for summer. With notes of pear and creamy jasmine, it’s less intense and more approachable, ideal for those who love Alien but want something softer for everyday wear.
Alien Hypersense’s Longevity?
Even though Alien Hypersense is a lighter version, it still lasts well. The woody and musky base notes help it stay noticeable throughout the day. It’s fresh and vibrant, making it perfect for daytime use, especially in warmer weather. You can expect it to linger nicely without being overpowering.
Who’s The Face of Alien Hypersense?
American fashion model, Anok Yai is the face of Alien Hypersense.
Best Place and Time To Wear Alien Hypersense…
Hypersense is a versatile fragrance that’s suited to all occasions. That said, it’ll particularly shine during the warmer seasons. Its lighter, more radiant interpretation of the classic Alien fragrance makes it perfect for everyday use, whether you’re heading to work, enjoying a casual outing, or meeting friends. The fruity and floral notes, along with its softer and more approachable character, make it ideal for occasions where you want to feel confident, without overpowering the senses.
Alien Hypersense’s Design and Aesthetic Is Special Because…
The Alien Hypersense bottle keeps the mystical look of the classic Alien, but it’s more vibrant. It’s still that sleek, talisman-like shape with its deep purple glass, but now it has a cool gradient that fades to a translucent finish. This design tweak reflects how Alien Hypersense is lighter and more radiant compared to other versions of Alien. It’s a modern update that keeps the essence of the original while signaling this fragrance is softer and more approachable.
My Overall Experience
I love the original Alien, I just can’t wear it. It’s too overpowering for my personal taste. So I was thrilled to learn about Hypersense. I loved it at first spray! It’s lighter and creamier version, which is perfect for anyone who likes exotic, summery scents like me. It doesn’t have the same projection or longevity as Alien (I resprayed it around 4pm), but I didn’t expect it to. Hypersense is pared-back, it’s like Alien is on a relaxing tropical vacation!
