What Does The Ordinary Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm Do?
The Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm is a nourishing lip hydrator that nourishes and protects your lips. It helps to soothe dryness and keep your lips feeling soft and comfortable throughout the day. This oily balm also creates a barrier that locks in moisture, preventing chapping and leaving your lips looking healthy and plump.
Bonus: You can also use this on your cuticles and elbows!
How Does it Work?
It works by creating a protective barrier on your lips that locks in moisture. The squalane helps to hydrate and soften the skin, while the amino acids support the skin’s natural barrier function, helping to retain moisture and prevent dryness. Unlike many other lip balms this formula also contains water so you'll find that it'll keep your lips feeling hydrated for longer.
What Does It Smell And Feel Like?
It's not fragranced, so it doesn't have a scent per se but it does have a slight chemical smell, depsite being completely natural but that does go as soon as you apply it. As for texture, it feels thin and slippery at first but that soon fades when it absorbs. It works well under all lip products, creating a great hydrating base.
What Does It Look Like On?
It's different from traditional lip balms that leave a glossy sheen, this formula looks a little more oily.
Best Place And Time To Use It?
Every day, everywhere; this lip balm will become one of your everyday skincare essentials. That said, due to its more oily texture I prefer to use it at night as an overnight lip mask.
