Do you like your signature scent to carry you away to remote and mysterious lands when you close your eyes? If so, Giungle di Seta Eau de Parfum by Salvatore Ferragamo might be the scent you’re looking for. Read on to find out more…
This Fragrance Smells Like…
Emilie Coppermann and Aliénor Massenet’s fragrance is delicately floral and refreshingly green; from the very first spritz, it feels like a breath of fresh air. The unisex fragrance journeys through rich and exotic flora as green olfactory notes reveal themselves.
Salvatore Ferragamo’s Giungle is a fresh and energetic perfume. It opens with a light, sweet and crisp green pea facet before welcoming fresh, velvety peony and an exclusive Filo di Seta accord; this unique note lies at the heart of every perfume in the Storie di Seta collection to tie the range together. This interesting accord centres around the likes of fresh Lilybelle® and Timut pepper, with its woody, floral, pink grapefruit and yuzu tones. Finally, the accord is rounded off with Neo Soie Velours de Laine to evoke the sensation of silk, which links the scent to the centuries-old tradition of Haute perfumery. Finally, Giungle di Seta’s sensual and almost animalistic base of musk warms on the skin as it wraps up the composition.
What’s The Story Behind This Scent?
As a part of Salvatore Ferragamo’s 2021 Storie di Seta collection, Giungle is inspired by the imaginary worlds of Salvatore Ferragamo’s silk creations, first launched in the 1960s. Just like each of its sister fragrances, Giungle di Seta recalls the image of light silk fabric fluttering in the air, resulting in a fragrance that’s just as pleasant, comfortable and sensorial as a silk embrace.
Giungle di Seta Eau de Parfum is quite clearly a part of the Storie di Seta collection, reflected in its motif-like bottle and central accord. But it also has its own unique story; it honours the unexplored jungle. Wild, untamable and bursting with life, the jungle theme is perfectly captured in this fragrance through both the bottle and the flora-heavy scent. Even the ingredients honour the natural world; Coppermann and Massenet’s fragrance brings together 62.2% renewable and 99.1% biodegradable ingredients for the Filo di Seta accord.
What if you’re hoping to walk on a trail through the jungle and explore another landscape? The good news is that the Storie di Seta collection has layering in mind, so you can create your very own olfactory destination by blending several fragrances. Thanks to the Filo di Seta note, which acts as the perfume’s DNA, the scents mingle beautifully while still adding a depth of their own when worn together.
You Will Love This If…
If fresh, green fragrances are for you, then you’ll love this. I love the fact that Giungle di Seta has green facets but still feels light and wearable. It’s more like an exploration of the edge of a dew-drenched jungle as the sun caresses the luscious canopy overhead rather than an intoxicatingly green fragrance that represents a dense, dark jungle that never sees the light of day.

Naturally, Giungle di Seta smells like the natural environment; green, fresh and breathtaking.
Is Giardini di Seta Unisex?
At Escentual, we believe that fragrance has no gender; it’s universal. Perfume should be worn by anyone who loves that scent, no matter who it’s marketed for. The entire Salvatore Ferragamo Storie di Seta collection mirrors our approach, too; all genders can wear each perfume.
What’s The Longevity Like?
Giungle di Seta certainly lasted well over the maximum expectations of an Eau de Parfum for me. When I tried it mid-morning, I could still smell it while I was showering that evening. But it gets better; to intensify and prolong Giungle, you can layer it alongside another perfume from the range.
What’s Special About The Bottle?
The textured, leafy greens that encase the base of the bottle honours the jungle, while the double-walled glass allows you to see the liquid within; it’s a very subtle green shade that reminds you of the green pea note within. The sleek design also fits in beautifully with the rest of the flanker range; trust me, they’d look stunning sitting together on your dressing table.
