If you’re looking for a new season scent, you’re reading the right edit. We’ve invited content creator and fragrance enthusiast Hayley Clough to the Pretty Pennies podium to share her must-have scents for spring/summer. Whether your price point is designer or niche, or your preference is something sweet or floral, Hayley’s handpicked a selection of perfumes with something for everyone.
The Challenge
We asked fragrance enthusiast Hayley Clough to spend 10,000 Pretty Pennies on new spring scents. She’s sharing with us her ultimate spring fragrance wardrobe.
1. YSL Libre Le Parfum
The ultimate versatile fragrance. Libre Le Parfum is a fragrance I would recommend all year round and for all occasions, which makes this truly special. The orange blossom, vanilla and lavender shine throughout, but this fragrance really stands out with the additional notes of honey, saffron and ginger. A true staple in my collection.
2. Miller Harris Myrica Muse
Myrica Muse smells like the most delicious fruity, boozy cocktail, leaving me wanting more. It smells like a sweet, juicy strawberry and rose rum cocktail – need I say more? It is pretty unique in scent profile, yet very charming and likeable. If you enjoy a fruity floral fragrance with a boozy gourmand twist, check out Myrica Muse.
3. Acqua Di Parma Magnolia Nobile
Understated fresh, floral elegance. Magnolia Nobile is a fragrance that will leave you smelling like you are surrounded by an abundance of magnolia trees. It opens with fresh, zingy bergamot and lemon but settles into a creamy white floral which is full of jasmine, tuberose, and magnolia. Timeless and classic.
4. Mugler Angel Elixir
The Angel Elixir is more crowd-pleasing, playful and youthful than the original Angel. Angel Elixir might be better suited if the original Angel was polarising for you. It is a floral bouquet of jasmine, ylang ylang and orange blossom, met with a large dose of caramelised vanilla.
5. Parfums De Marly Cassili
Cassili would be one of my top springtime recommendations due to the balmy, soft feeling it gives me. I am instantly transported to a more tropical climate when wearing this one. It has beautiful notes of red currants, mimosa and petalia. It settles into a powdered soft vanilla veil with solar translucent florals.
