Philosophy Pure Grace Eau de Parfum Review
Share
Pure Grace by Philosophy is a fresh, calming aroma of floral green notes with a deep musky base. Philosophy first launched the original, overtly popular Pure Grace in 2003 and then revamped it for 2020 with additional notes of neroli, orange blossom and rose. Pure Grace is a clean, crisp, subtly sweet scent that is ideal for someone who wants to smell like freshly washed laundry all day.
What Does It Smell Like:
It’s a very simple, fresh and clean scent. The citrus notes are really prominent at first but they very quickly settle becoming a blanketed version. It gives me an outdoors, clean landscape vibe. At one with nature, very clean and natural. It warms up pretty quickly and becomes really comforting like a cashmere jumper.
The words that spring to mind when I smell it are fresh, clean, soapy, herby, leafy, subtly floral, calming and comforting.
A powdery, subtly sweet aroma that has the power to comfort after just one spritz, Pure Grace stirs up images of a relaxing spa day, unwinding in a bubble bath or a stroll through nature.
The fragrance opens with top notes of awakening bergamot, warming lavender and neroli before transforming through a heady centre of rose, orange blossom, jasmine and lily-of-the-valley. Deep and sensual musk closes the fragrance, bringing it to a comforting end.
Perfumes That Smell Similar Are…
Soleil Blanc by Tom Ford. It’s just as powdery and fresh as Pure Grace and both scents have similar white floral accords. However, Soleil Blanc has that added beachy, coconutty edge.
Pure Grace Eau de Parfum’s Longevity…
When put to the test in the office, Pure Grace Eau de Parfum lasted for up to 6 hours on my clothing – and that was only with two sprays. As the day passed, the scent developed into a soft, musky delight that made me smell like fresh laundry.
Pure Grace Eau de Parfum is a fragrance designed to be intimate. In terms of the scent’s sillage, it’s pretty faint and unassuming, and for that reason, I would rate the silage as light-moderate. However, once the aroma settles, the musk appears, and the comforting scent feels like a plush cashmere jumper.
Pure Grace Eau de Parfum Wears Well During…
Pure Grace is a versatile fragrance that you could wear throughout the day and into the evening. It has a clean freshness that makes it the perfect scent to spritz yourself before a morning walk. The comforting, smooth, musky base also makes it ideal for unwinding in the bath at night.
Pure Grace Eau de Parfum’s Design and Aesthetic Is Special Because…
The bottle is simple and elegant, reflecting the aroma inside. It’s a square-shaped, transparent glass bottle with a cylindrical silver lid in line with the rest of Philosophy’s fragrance range. The clean, uncomplicated design that’s the ideal fit for the fragrance shows how, sometimes, less is more.
Sustainability/Eco-friendly Summary…
Pure Grace Eau de Parfum comes in a recyclable glass bottle and cardboard box.
My Overall Experience
I loved this fragrance. It’s so fresh and clean with a cosy softness. I sprayed this fragrance in my bathroom before a bath, and it relaxed me and made me feel like I was indulging in a spa day.
