We’ve all heard that the only way to deal with split ends is to cut them off. Well, with the Philip Kingsley Bond Builder range, you can salvage damaged locks without losing any length! Its repairing treatments seal broken hair bonds and protect your hair against future damage, making your hair look and feel healthier.
The Bond Builder collection features a trio of treatments that are easy to add to your hair routine and won’t make your hair feel greasy or heavy. The stand-out treatment, for me, has to be the Bond Builder Split End Remedy; I love how immediate the results are after I apply it – just 30-seconds for luscious hair.

The Most Important Thing About Philip Kingsley Bond Builder Range Is…
The Bond Builder range provides immediate and long-lasting healthy hair benefits, starting by sealing split ends on the first use to making your hair three times more resistant to damage over time. From the inside out, your hair is strengthened to reduce breakage when brushing and styling, softening your hair to add a healthy sheen and ‘fresh haircut’ finish.
What Hair Type Is The Range For?
Anyone who struggles with increased hair breakage or dry hair will love using the Bond Builder collection. Coloured hair, heat damaged and fine hair are the most prone to experiencing split ends and damage.
You Will Love This Range If…
If you want to see results fast, you’ll love all the products in the Bond Builder line. The quick and easy-to-apply treatments are a pleasure to use, adding only a lightweight, silky layer to your hair that feels soft and smooth. As someone with very fine, long hair, I’ve personally seen that my split ends have smoothed instantly, and my hair is stronger.
Hero Ingredients:
The Bond Builder Restructuring Treatment reconnects broken bonds and strengthens your hair using advanced bond rebuilding technology, free-form parabens and sulphates. As your split ends are immediately sealed, long-lasting moisture is locked into your locks by conditioning panthenol without weighing down your hair.
The Bond Builder Lipid Shield Oil contains an 18-MEA derivative (that’s the primary lipid that sits on the surface of your hair) to replenish lost lipids and make hair water-repellent so it can guards itself against environmental stress. It also contains camellia oil, castor oil and sebacic acid to nourish and repair damaged hair.
The Split End Remedy blends hydrolyzed oat protein for hydration and natural waxes for shine, nourishing your hair cuticles to be stronger over time.
What Do The Products Feel Like?
The Restructuring Treatment feels thicker when applied and is washed out as a pre-shampoo treatment, whereas the Split End Remedy feels tacky on your hands. However, as you work the remedy through your hair and blow dry it, the sticky feeling disappears, leaving your hair so soft and not at all greasy. Even when air drying, your hair absorbs the Bond Builder Split End Remedy to feel strong and soft with no oil in sight. The leave-in hair oil, however, is my favourite; it has a quick-absorbing, non-greasy texture that tresses lap up.
What Does The Range Smell Like?
There’s no added fragrance, but the range has the same creamy, clean scent. There is a slightly sweet, almost floral feel and if you really smell it, you can detect the oats but overall, the scent is subtle and fresh.
How Do You Use The Range?
The products are designed to be used together throughout your weekly hair care routine throughout the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. The Restructuring Treatment is recommended to be used once a week and goes in your hair before you shampoo, sitting on damp hair for at least 10 minutes (I left mine for 30 whilst I did a facemask and painted my nails). You must thoroughly wash out the pre-shampoo Restructuring Treatment before conditioning as normal – if you have fine hair, shampoo twice to remove all the product.
To use the Lipid Shield Oil after shampooing, tilt the bottle and tap the base to dispense 5-6 drops into the palm of your hand; for shorter hair lengths, you may want to start off with 2-3 drops. Apply to the mid-lengths and ends of towel-dried hair and leave in. Use every 2-3 washes to restore your lipid layer.
Last but not least is the Split End Remedy, which lasts for a maximum of three washes, so it should be applied every one in three hair washes onto damp hair. If you have extreme damage, use the remedy more often. The pea-sized amount of Split End Remedy can air dry into your hair or be blow-dried – it won’t get washed out straight away.
What’s Special About The Format?
The chic white tubes have minimalist pops of silver and coral, giving them a luxury feel. The best part about the design? They’re 100% recyclable and made from sugarcane bioplastic.
