Our Team's 2025 New Year's Beauty Resolutions
Share
January 1st is looming, so now is the perfect time to start thinking about what you want to do more (and less) of in 2025. And in true Escentual style, we've given our New Year's resolutions a beauty twist. From taking better care of our skin to improving our makeup skills, here's how we plan to level up our routines in the year ahead.
Here are the team's New Year's resolutions...
1. Start Taking Skin & Hair Supplements
Ceryn
Campaigns & PR Editor
"I've seen first-hand the benefits of marine collagen on your skin and hair. Fine lines and wrinkles reduce in appearance, skin glows, and hair grows. In 2025, I want those benefits!
I've taken Vida Glow's Marine Collagen sachets (inconsistently) in the past, so I know I can stomach those because they're not fishy. Although I liked the single-serving sachets, I picked up their all-new caddy. It contains 270g of powder in a glass tub, ready to scoop, which suits me better."
2. Wear SPF every day

"It feels criminal admitting this at Escentual, but honesty is the best policy: I don't wear SPF every day. But I'm going to do my best to change that in 2025. Since rejoining the business in 2024, I've caught up with Escentual's #SunPoverty campaign, and it hit home - I need to protect my skin from UV rays.
My resolution is to wear sunscreen daily. I've picked up Anthelios UVMUNE 400 SPF50+ for the job - it's lightweight, sinks straight in and doesn't leave a shiny finish on the skin (my pet peeve)."
3. Protect my hair from heat
Simona

"I use a lot of heat on my hair and don't always use a heat protectant. I want to change that in 2025; I know my hair's health will benefit. Finding the right product is half the battle, so I spent a lot of time choosing from our website. I've opted for the Bumble and bumble Blow Dry Accelerator. It's a lightweight spray that cuts your blow dry time in half, a huge plus for a busy working mum like me. Most importantly though, it has a Honey Protective Complex that defends against heat damage."
4. Embrace my curly hair

"I want to improve my hair health next year. The first step on that journey is embracing my natural hair type. I have curly hair, which I have neglected in the past; blow-drying, straightening - I've done everything to get a sleek finish. In 2025, I want to limit heat styling and enhance my curls. I have a young daughter and a busy work/social life, so I expect this change to save me some time in the mornings, too! I've picked up Aveda Be Curly Advanced Curl Enhancer; I've seen this on TikTok, and the reviews are great! It's a gel cream that you use on damp hair to boost your curls, and a big plus for me: stop them going frizzy!"
5. Clear my skin
Cara

"Clear skin is my 2025 beauty resolution. I have blemish-prone skin, and I've struggled with it this year, so next year, I'd like to get a handle on it and feel confident in my skin again. My issue is that I have quite sensitive skin, so I haven't found strong enough formulas to clear breakouts without irritation. That is until I started with Escentual a couple of months ago and learnt about Avene's Cleanance range. Avene are experts in sensitive skin, and this collection is specifically made for treating breakouts while respecting delicate skin. I'll use their 3-step routine: a cleanser, serum and moisturiser."
6. Start using eye cream
Alan
Digital Director
"For my New Year's resolution, I'm committing to using eye cream daily. After a long year, the delicate skin around my eyes deserves extra care. I'm eager to see how consistent use can improve dark circles and puffiness.
As a big fan of Shiseido Men Total Revitalizer Cream, I’m hopeful the eye cream will be just as effective, making this a resolution I can easily stick to. Here’s to a year of brighter, more refreshed eyes!
