Lancome Lip Idole Lip Shaper Swatches and Review
Share
I’m a lip liner magpie. I love the way it can transform my makeup look in seconds. Lip liners make me feel confident, so as soon as Lancome was launching Lip Idole Lip Shaper, I had to try it. New for 2024, this ultra-creamy, matte lip liner is now one of my favourite formulas to date. Not only do I love the softness of it, but the colour selection is divine; it focuses mainly on nudes, which I love, but there are a couple of soft pinks and pops of red, so you can get one of every colour if you love the formula as much as I do. Let’s discover the formula…
Why I Think You’ll Love The Lip Shaper
It’s almost like a pair of skims in lip liner form. It hugs and accentuates lips perfectly.
From personal experience, this looks and feels like a luxury lip liner. I love that this lip liner is super pigmented and has a creamy, soft nib that’s not rubbish quality like normal wooden ones that flake and splinter. I’m quite heavy and as the nib is so precise and the formula is so soft, it’s hard to make mistakes with this formula, and it doesn’t bleed, which is very important to me.
Extra highlights include:
- It’s pigmented enough to wear alone as a lip colour.
- Easy to sharpen (and fits most sharpeners).
- Fewer top-ups are needed with this liner compared to others I own.
- Coffee-proof
What Does It Promise To Deliver?
Comfort, colour and longevity. There’s nothing worse than a lip liner that fades quickly and doesn’t last. However, as you can see from my video below, they glide on smoothly (comfort), the pigment is instant (colour), and they are truly waterproof (longevity); I even put them to the shower test.
What Are The Shades Like?
I made a quick swatch at my desk just to test the colours compared to the Lancome swatches, and they seem pretty bang on. Here’s a quick guide for the shades available in main colourway groups:
Nude colours are:
- 21, 33
Pink shades are:
- 21
Coral colours:
- 26
Red shades:
- 100, 101
