The Fragrances Smell Like…

Histoires de Parfums Ambre 114 Eau de Parfum: The scent of amber-coloured skin warmed by a balmy, aromatic breeze, Ambre 114 is a spicy-oriental fragrance that blends spiced heat with soft woods and sensual oriental facets for a warm and erotic scent.

Histoires de Parfums Noir Patchouli Eau de Parfum: Powered by three waves of patchouli, Noir Patchouli is a true celebration of the unique yet recognisable flowering plant. It’s an overdose of patchouli with a handful of spices, florals and orientals thrown in for good measure.

Histoires de Parfums 1889 Moulin Rouge Eau de Parfum: Created in collaboration with the Moulin Rouge, 1889 takes you to the opening of the iconic cabaret house. The powdery floral fragrance opens with softly spiced fruit before welcoming a rosey absinthe heart before enveloping you in a cloud of iris, musk, patchouli and fur.

Histoires de Parfums 1969 Eau de Parfum: 1969 is a seductive and modern unisex fragrance inspired by the sexual revolution of the 60s. Opening with sweet, sun-kissed fruits, it blends into a spicy floral heart before its truly irresistible gourmand base of patchouli, chocolate, coffee and white musk is revealed.

What’s The Longevity Like?

If I could only make one comment on the whole of Histoires de Parfums fragrance offerings, I would say this: their longevity is unbelievable. Their scents are so bold, intense and long-lasting that I could often still smell them on my jacket the day after testing them. It was seriously impressive!

What’s Special About The Bottles?

Just like the perfumes in the Histoires de Parfums Characters collection, the Timeless Classics flacons are relatively simplistic and understated. They showcase transparent double-walled glass that allows you to see the coloured liquid within, while Histoires’ name is printed along the front in large white writing. But while the bottles may look quietly understated, I like that they tie in to the other scents in the line. And what the glass flacons may lack in colour, the elaborate, thick boxes most certainly make up for that. Each unique design features specific colours to represent the perfumes within – from the deep, sultry matte-lipstick-red of 1889 Moulin Rouge to the kaleidoscope of yellow, orange and chocolate brown of 1969 Eau de Parfum’s box.
