GUERLAIN Brow G The Brow Pencil Review
Share
I overplucked my eyebrows when I was a teenager. And I have been paying for those foolish 5 minutes ever since. The hairs never grew back and so a good eyebrow pencil is a non-negotiable in my makeup bag. I want a formula that looks natural, and that’ll help me fake full brows with as little effort as possible. Guerlain Brow G claims to be that product so I put it to the test…
You Will Love Brow G If…
If filling your eyebrows feels like a chore or you’ve not quite gotten the natural result you’ve wished for, you’ll love this eyebrow pencil. Its ultra-fine tip makes it easy to create hair-like strokes in seconds.
What Does It Do?
It’s a creamy eyebrow pencil that’ll help you to fill in, define, and shape your brows. It has a precision tip, which allows you to create hair-like strokes easily, plus its built-in spoolie is great for blending out and adding texture. One thing I am always wary about with fine pencils is whether they’ll snap. I can confirm this is thin yet sturdy and didn’t snap. I also noticed how well the colour (03 – Medium) matched my dark brown hair; it was undetectable.
What Does It Smell And Feel Like?
The eyebrow pencil has a creamy formula that glides easily over your skin thanks to added jojoba oil. The texture is designed to mimic the natural texture of your hair. It doesn’t have a scent.
What are the shades?
The brow pencil comes in five shades that are created to match every hair tone: 01 Blonde, 02 Auburn, 03 Medium Brown, 04 Dark Brown, 05 Granite
Best Place and Time To Use It?
I used this eyebrow pencil daily – it only took me a few minutes to fill in both brows. I used it by twisting up the pencil and applying it from the inner corner of my brow. Then, I drew hair-like strokes in the direction of hair growth. Finally, I used the spoolie brush to disperse the product and add texture.
Brow G Pencil Design and Aesthetic Is Special Because…
Brow G has a sleek, slim-line, all-back design that looks and feels premium. Along its side in gold is ‘Guerlain Paris’, and around the base is a colour band to reference the shade – this is handy if you own a couple. The retractable design feels sturdy, and even though the pencil is ultra-fine, it doesn’t snap. The finishing touch is the spoolie; its bristles catch every brow hair, and there’s even a cap to keep it hygienic in your makeup bag.
My Overall Experience
There’s nothing to dislike about this brow pencil, especially if you want your eyebrows to look naturally filled in. Thanks to the ultra-fine tip, it’s easy to use, so I’d recommend it to anyone who’s struggled to fill in their brows in the past but wants to. The colour match was spot on, and the formula lasted all day. The design is chic, just as you’d expect from Guerlain, and I’m a huge fan of the spoolie – every eyebrow pencil should have one!
