Givenchy are discontinuing their Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Foundation and replacing it with the Prisme Libre Glow Serum Foundation. Why the switch? We'll clear that up, and more in this review. Whether you're a long-time fan, or new to the Prisme Libre range, I've covered all of your questions below.
GIVENCHY Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation is discontinued. Once it sells out, we won't restock it.
It's being replaced with GIVENCHY Prisme Libre Glow Serum Foundation, a new and improved formula update.
How Are Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow and the Glow Serum Foundation Different?
Let's address the most important question first. Givenchy has upgraded the original formula. Simply put, it's better. Everything we know and love about the first version has been improved. Here's a look at those changes:
Skin-Caring Foundation (OLD) | Glow Serum Foundation (NEW) | |
Coverage | Sheer | Medium, buildable |
Finish | Radiant | Radiant |
Technology | Advanced Glow Complex | 4-Color Correction & Prismatic Light |
Hydration | 24-hour | 48-hour |
Skincare Benefits | 90% skincare bare | Skin-improving even when you take it off |
You Will Love Givenchy Prisme Libre Glow Serum Foundation If...
Want a foundation with excellent coverage and longevity that still looks natural and radiant? If yes, you'll love this base. The Glow Serum gives skin the most beautiful glowy boost. Plus it has a skincare-makeup hybrid formula that perfects your complexion, even when you're not wearing it, so if you're a skincare enthusiast, Prisme Libre Glow Serum will make a great addition to your makeup bag.
What Does It Do?
It's a liquid foundation with added skincare benefits that will even, and perfect your complexion. It will cover blemishes, blur imperfections, and give the skin a healthy, hydrated glow.
What does it look like on the skin?
Your skin, but better. Your skin isn't masked, it's perfected and boosted. It's coverage is excellent, especially compared to the previous version which was more sheer. The Glow Serum Foundation has a medium, buildable formula that evens and covers flawlessly without looking cakey. Skin looks flawless, but natural, radiant but not shiny.
Before and After
Key Ingredients:
- Micro hyaluronic acid penetrates the deeper layers of the epidermis for long-lasting hydration.
- Ceramide yuzu extract keeps skin plump and bouncy.
- 4 colour powders even skin tone and neutralise imperfections.
- A blend of soft-focus powders creates a blurring effect.
- Light-reflecting pearls diffuse light for natural-looking radiance.
How long before I need to reapply?
Prisme Libre Glow Serum Foundation is long-lasting. Givenchy claims 24-hour wear, but I didn't want to stay up that long, so I tested it for a solid 12 hours. I didn't touch up once, and I was happy with how my skin looked at the end of the day. It had faded lightly in the expected areas (around the nose, and chin), but nothing to write home about, and my skin wasn't shiny.
Does it have SPF?
No, this foundation doesn't have SPF and will need to be paired with sunscreen (underneath).

Givenchy has discontinued this foundation as they have improved the formula and re-released it with a new name, GIVENCHY Prisme Libre Glow Serum Foundation.
Will I still be able to buy GIVENCHY Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation?
For a limited time, yes. We still have stock of GIVENCHY Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation on our website, but when we sell out we won't be restocking it.
I love the original Prisme Glow Skin-Caring Foundation, will I like the new version?
Yes! Everything you love about the original remains. The only notable difference is the coverage level. The original was more sheer than the updated formula, but it's still very natural-looking.
