If anyone asks me, "What French Pharmacy skincare should I try?" I reply with these products. It's as simple as that. Each has my approval seal, and I have purchased them repeatedly and recommended them to many.
Whether you're looking for a no-nonsense lip-saving balm, a hard-working cleanser, or sunscreen that doesn't leave behind a white cast, my list of French Pharmacy favourites has the solution.
1. Eucerin Acute Lip Balm
I am never without this lip balm. I have chronically dry lips, and no other formula comes close to it.
When my lips start to feel dry, I reach for it. It contains glycerin, which binds moisture to the skin, helping to keep lips hydrated for longer. It's also packed with soothing ingredients that calm inflammation, which is a must-have if you have sensitive lips like mine.
2. Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water
If you try any micellar water, make it this one. Sensibio H20 is an icon, and it's been a staple in my skincare routine for years. I use it as my first cleansing step when wearing makeup or as my only cleanser when I'm makeup-free.
The no-rinse cleanser's formula is for sensitive skin, so it's incredibly soothing. I love that it helps me to remove stubborn makeup, even waterproof mascara, without pulling or tugging on my skin.
3. Eucerin Actinic Control SPF100
If you're serious about protecting your skin from skin cancer and premature ageing, you need this. This SPF100 is a certified medical device!
Aside from its high-level protection, my favourite thing about this sunscreen is its texture. The formula is lightweight, blends in quickly and easily, and doesn't leave behind a white cast.
4. Avene Cicalfate+ Serum
I care about the health of my skin, so the Cicalfate+ Serum is non-negotiable. The repairing serum helps to strengthen the skin barrier in just 1 day.
I have very reactive skin, so I reach for this serum when my skin's feeling tight or uncomfortable. The soothing formula brings instant relief and improves the skin's ability to self-repair.
5. La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5+ Balm
If you've reached this final product, you'll understand the theme: my skin is very reactive. That's why I always keep a tube of Cicaplast B5+ in my cupboard; this repairing cica balm does it all - treating blisters, soothing chapped lips, reducing the look of scarring, and more.
A favourite among dermatologists, the recovery cream contains madecassoside, a probiotic that rebalances the skin's microbiome, helping to keep skin happy and healthy.
