4 Best Blushers For Fair Skin With Cool Undertones
Share
Blusher is a makeup essential. I am obsessed with it. Why? It makes your skin look full, healthy and adds a soft flush that gives your skin a little pop of colour that instantly lifts your complexion and mood! And, as someone with fair skin with cool undertones, I know that my pale skin can sometimes look tired and washed-out; for days like those, a pinch of blush is a must – but how do you know which shade is right for your fair skin?
What Blusher Shades Are Best For Fair Skin?
Through my blush blunders (there have been many) and research, I’ve found the secret to choosing the correct blush for a cool-fair skin tone and put it in a colour cheat sheet for you to use. You can mix and match choosing a shade based on your mood or your colour preference:
1. Baby Pink
2. Soft Peach
3. Light Coral
4. Pale Rose
Armed with this knowledge, I’ve been on the hunt for the best formulas in this shade range and popped them in this edit. Here is a selection of my favourite blushes for the perfect pinch for pale skin with cool undertones…
1. The Baby Pink Stick Blush
I’ve chosen the shade Ambitious Pink, a bright baby pink. It adds the softest rosy effect to my cool skin which gives it a little boost when I think I’m looking a bit peaky. They suggest you choose a shade the same or a little deeper than your natural flush and for me, this would be on the deeper side. A little goes a long way with this Lancome Blush Stick as it has incredible colour pay-off and you won’t even need a blusher brush because it can all be blended in easily with your fingertips.
Why you’ll love the Lancome Teint Idole Blush Stick…
This is one of my all-time favourite blushes. It has the dreamiest crushed velvet texture that feels creamy when applied, but as you blend it into your complexion, it reveals a powdery finish that looks rosy and flawless. I love the stick format because it is so easy to use, all you need to do is swipe, blend and you’re done!
2. The Peachy Pink Cream Blush
Everyone with cool-pale skin needs a Shiseido WhippedPowder Blush in shade Sonoya; it’s a light peachy pink that has vibrant colour pay-off on cooler skin tones that makes skin look healthy with a natural flush and as if it’s your own skin.
Why you’ll love the Shiseido WhippedPowder Blush…
A Harper’s Bazaar award winner, this cream blush is a must for anyone who loves creamy textures that have a natural matte finish. Its creamy mousse-like texture feels velvety to touch and it’s easy to blend into the skin thanks to Shiseido’s unique AirFusion Technology.
3. The Coral Powder Blush
Joli Blush in shade Cheeky Coral is the perfect blusher for cool skin tones. Its light peach tone gives a natural skin-like finish, thanks to its subtle pigments; the soft finish of this blush makes it perfect for pale skin!
Why You’ll Love the Clarins Joli Blush…
Not only is the finish seamless, but it has skincare benefits too! Clarins have infused the powder with an anti-pollution complex that protects skin from external aggressors that break down collagen; plus, hazelnut oil ensures your skin stays hydrated and soft during the day!
4. The Pale Rose Mineral Blush
bareMinerals’ Gen Nude Powder gets a special mention as it is an award-winner, so you know it must be good! Pretty In Pink is the ideal shade for all cool skin tones because it’s a muted baby pink that’s ideal for adding a soft natural blush.
Why you’ll love the bareMinerals Gen Nude Powder Blush…
Like all of bareMinerals makeup, this Gen Nude blusher is made with natural minerals that are good-to-skin and is cruelty-free. The finish of this blush is nothing short of flawless as it’s made with a Blurring Complex, so has an airbrushed effect on the skin. How do I wear it? I like to brush this powder across my cheekbones and take it up to the temples and a little across the bridge of my nose if I’m feeling full-on autumnal vibes!
