bareMinerals Original Pure Serum Radiant Natural Liquid Foundation SPF20 Review

bareMinerals Original Pure Serum Radiant Natural Liquid Foundation SPF20 30ml

bareMinerals has launched the Original Pure Serum Radiant Natural Liquid Foundation SPF20, replacing the bareMinerals Original Liquid Mineral Foundation SPF20. As a fan of all things bareMinerals and glow-obsessed girly, I jumped at the chance to test it out! Here are all the details and my review…

You Will Love The Original Pure Serum Foundation If…

If looking after your skin is important to you, you’ll love this foundation’s skincare-enriched formula. bareMinerals are best known for their skin-loving products, and this base is no different. It’s also a must-have for anyone who loves a radiant, glowing skin finish. Even though it offers buildable medium coverage, the finish on the skin is natural and healthy-looking.

What Does It Do?

The foundation offers buildable medium coverage that unifies uneven skin tone and conceals imperfections. While covering, it brings a luminous glow to the skin that looks natural and healthy, not shiny. More than makeup, it’s clinically proven to improve skin texture in 7 days and has added UVA/UVB protection (SPF20).

How Does It Do It?

It’s a skincare-makeup hybrid. It contains 93% skincare ingredients, including plumping hyaluronic acid, hydrating glycerin and nourishing white water lily; the formula is clinically proven to improve skin texture in just 7 days while refining skin tone and minimising pores.

What Does It Smell And Feel Like?

The foundation doesn’t have a distinct smell. As for texture, it’s a liquid – make sure you shake it before using it, or it comes out very watery. Once shaken, it has a water-cream texture that easily blends into the skin. It feels lightweight and hydrating.

How Long Before You Need To Reapply?

It has incredible staying power. I applied first thing in the morning, and my base still looked nearly perfect at lunchtime. I did spot some shine in my T-zone, but that’s normal. Around 4 pm, I noticed that around my nose and along my jaw-line (where I tend to rest my hands) was starting to fade, but I was overall happy with the longevity.

Best Place and Time To Use It?

I’d wear this foundation year-round. I always opt for bases that give the skin a glow and have a hydrating formula. Because of its coverage, those who prefer lighter formulas like BB and CC creams may prefer this as an evening option in the summertime.

Shake well before use. For a more radiant, natural finish, apply with fingertips. Dispense 1 drop onto fingertips and blend into the skin, beginning at the centre of the face and working outward. Work all over the face until fully blended. Build coverage where needed. Combination or oily skin types may want to pair it with a powder to boost longevity.

Original Pure Serum Foundation’s Packaging

The foundation has a simple, chic design that’s in keeping with bareMineral’s minimalistic aesthetic. It’s a frosted glass bottle with black accents and a pump applicator.

Sustainability and Values…

Silicone-free, Fragrance-free, Chemical screen-free, Oil-free, Gluten-free.

Non-comedogenic, Vegan.

My Overall Experience

I wouldn’t change anything about this foundation. I love it. It’s my ideal base: buildable coverage that doesn’t go cakey, a glow that’s not shiny, great longevity (it doesn’t oxidise) and an excellent line-up of shades. It’s springtime currently, and I wear it in the day and evening, adjusting the amount I use to suit my needs. In summer, I can foresee it becoming an evening choice as I switch to something lighter, like a BB or CC cream.

As for the foundation’s skin-smoothing claims, I believe it! I had uneven texture around my mouth and chin, which eased. My skin looks noticeably smoother since using it.
