Amouage Purpose Eau de Parfum Review

Amouage Purpose Eau de Parfum is a unique scent that will ensure you smell like no other. It’s a spicy, woody scent that blends bright citruses and earthy pine-fresh woods with deep, dark, smoky incense and fiery spices; the result is an olfactory journey that’s complex and ends in a warm scent that’s deep and sensual. This Fragrance Smells Like…

Purpose opens with notes of bright bergamot, pink pepper and smoking frankincense and cinnamon-scented pimento berry. The heart unfurls into a fresh floral rose, grassy sand vetiver, woody, earthy sandalwood and papyrus. Its fragrance leaves a lasting impression that’s fiery and warm with notes of sizzling saffron, smooth suede woody akigalawood and pine-fresh mystikal that last and linger on the skin.

What’s The Story Behind This Scent?

The Amouage Chapter III continues its journey into the frankincense note with perfumer’s Quentin Bisch’s creation, Amouage Purpose. For me, this is where the frankincense note is most distinct and smoky and is the deepest in the line.

You Will Love This If…

You will enjoy Purpose if you’re looking for a scent with immense projection and longevity that’s unique with a fresh, woody and spicy; some would consider it polarising but in my eyes very wearable, if you love woods, spice and citrus.

Amouage Purpose smells just like Christmas in its dry down. It has a pine-fresh quality with a warm, sweet blend of spices that remind me of cinnamon and cloves with a touch of citrus.

Is Amouage Purpose Eau de Parfum Unisex?

Yes, but I would say this is traditionally more masculine.

What’s The Longevity Like?

It lasts for at least eight hours on the skin.

What’s Special About The Bottle?

The bottle is a deep green ceramic that’s weighty topped with a lid of cream lid encrusted with a jewel that has a magnetised close.
