This Fragrance Smells Like…

The scent opening is intense and bold with the earthy woodiness of patchouli, cypriol and Virginia cedar. At the heart of the perfume is its hero note, strong and bold oud assam blended with creamy vanilla Madagascar. The scent fades into a powerful, leathery, smoky trail with a slight touch of balsamic with notes of woody ambrarome, birch, guaiac wood and castoreum that is so unique, giving it a niche quality.

What’s The Story Behind This Scent?

Silver Oud is part of Amouage’s famous Library collection inspired by mankind’s quest for learning and knowledge. Perfumer Cecile Zarokian created Silver Oud take the feeling of confusion and put it into a scent. Taking nods from “The Red and The Black” tales, showing the transition between idealism and realism in a cacophony of powerful woody and earthy notes.

Silver Oud is bottle in nude ceramic “Khanjar” inspired bottle, an Omani symbol of strength and godliness. The presentation from the bottle to the outer box is a work of art; with a light grey top encrusted with a gem and Amouage signature logo on the front of the bottle. The outer packaging is an ornate patterned box, cuffed with a sleeve designed with analogue art visuals shot by Valentin Abad.
