Opening with sweet notes of succulent peach, zesty bergamot and flirty freesia, this fragrance gets off to a strong start. Heart notes quickly fade into a heady lilac and jasmine centre and finish with a base of cosy sandalwood and sensual musk. Lilac Original is an Eau de Cologne, so is expected to last up to 3 hours on the skin. However, I could still smell it on my shirt almost 5 hours after the first spritz so it seems to last longer on clothing. The silage of the scent is rated weak-moderate on Fragrantica, but when I tested it here in the office, the floral scent was detected from over an arms length away.

My Overall Experience
Overall, I really like this fragrance. I especially love the powdery sweetness, it’s more subdued than other fragrances from the Floral Collection and I personally prefer soft florals as opposed to syrupy sweet, super flowery scents. The beginning of the fragrance is very fresh and juicy and once it settles it maintains that freshness. However, the cosy sandalwood and musk notes add a beautiful powderiness.
