Let’s discover the inspiration, longevity and more…

What Does I Want Choo Le Parfum Smell Like?
Jimmy Choo I Want Choo Le Parfum embodies all the fun, glitz, and glamour like the effervescent pop and fizz of fine champagne.
From the first spray, the fruitiness twist of pear and blackcurrant adds a fresh fizziness to the mix. Sweet white florals tame the juiciness, and then bold (but not heady) white floral notes of sweet jasmine and gardenia warm their way through, adding more depth and feminity to the scent. Finally, as the perfume settles, glowy, seductive notes of amber cling to the skin, mingling with the creaminess of praline and the softness of sandalwood to create a perfume that exudes main character energy.
Fragrance Family: Floral Gourmand
Top notes are blackcurrant pear and gardenia.
Heart notes are jasmine, patchouli, and ambrette.
Base notes are moss, amber, sandalwood and praline.
Perfumes That Smell Similar Are…
As Le Parfum is a floral gourmand, here are the perfumes I think it has similarities to and why.
- Diesel Loverdose because it’s got that sweet, addictive quality. It also has a similar white floral heart and woody amber base.
- Rabanne Lady Million both feel and smell warm, feminine and powerful and have jasmine and amber notes.
- Mugler Alien Goddess Supra Florale both have similar openings, as the pear note in both perfumes is prominent. They have the aroma of freshly washed hair, so it’s hard not to find them similar, but they dry down differently.
How Does Le Parfum Compare To The Original?
Visually, Le Parfum is the chrome gold bottle and I Want Choo is the transparent bottle with a peach-tinted juice. Both fragrances have a heart note of jasmine, but a different fruity opening. Le Parfum has a sharp/sweet zing from pear and blackcurrant, whereas I Want Choo has a soft peachy opening. It’s also worth noting that I Want Choo Le Parfum’s base of praline, moss, woods and amber creating a more intense, sweeter base that lingers longer.
I Want Choo Le Parfum’s Longevity…
I found that Le Parfum lasted around 4-6 hours on me, depending on what I was doing. Sometimes, I went nose blind after 4ish hours, but then again, the team complimented me after lunch on ‘how fresh I smelt,’ which I loved. The longevity of this perfume is what I’d expect for an eau de Parfum.
About Le Parfum’s Sillage
To me, I Want Choo Le Parfum has the biggest aura/body/trail/train. Here’s how I would explain how it lingers/lasts…
- First spray: lingers in room, can smell it as you walk past someone.
- 4 hours: Someone sat next to you on transport could smell it.
- 5+ hours plus: you’d need to be hugging or kissing someone to pick it up
Best Time To Wear I Want Choo Le Parfum…
From my point of view, Le Parfum can be worn day and night and all year round. But if I had to be specific, I would recommend it for nighttime due to the strength and intensity of the warmer, more intense notes. Especially if you love the original, this can be your bolder alternative for an evening in your favourite dress and Jimmy Choo heels.
Season-wise, it feels fresh enough for spring/summer with the pear and blackcurrant, but it also feels warm and cosy enough for autumn/winter with its woody amber base.
I Want Choo Le Parfum’s Design and Aesthetic…
The ‘I Want Choo Le Parfum’ fragrance comes in a unique bottle that matches the scent’s desirability. The bottle features a metallic golden glass adorned with the brand’s signature JC monogram. The spray cap infuses Jimmy Choo’s signature gold with a hammered-effect accent ring. The perfume is in a shimmering gold box, perfectly matching the packaging.
My Overall Experience
My tips for using this perfume are:
- Don’t take the ball off the top thinking it’s a lid, press down to spray it.
- The chrome effect bottle gets fingerprint marks on it, so keep a cloth close to hand to give it a wipe, if that kind of thing annoys you!
Jimmy Choo’s I Want Choo collection has always been glamorous, and I’ve always found their perfumes to be beautiful and elegant, so I couldn’t wait to see what Le Parfum would bring to the table. When I saw the sparkly gold box and red dress visuals to match, I knew this would be a perfume meant to ‘get you noticed’. Bold, confidence-boosting and bright, the solid gold-effect bottle reflects the glamourous scent inside.
As someone who prefers masculine scents, I found Le Parfum to reveal a more feminine, lighter side of mine, which was nice to embrace.
