JP123‘s Review of La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL SPF50+ Invisible Nutritive Oil
I work outdoors all year round and have spent a long time searching for a product that a) Doesn’t make me look anaemic b) That isnt thick and sticky c) That is affordable and value for money d) That actually works………I think I’ve finally found it!
Unlike many other higher end brands that claim not to leave any white marks, this one really doesn’t – it is transparent in the bottle and stays that way whilst on your skin. This means that you can re-apply regularly without becoming more ghostly in appearance. It makes your face look a little bit shiny after a couple of applications, but that is to be expected with any product and doesnt look out of place on a warm summers day. It is so light that you don’t realise you are wearing it. It doesn’t make you feel like your pores are blocked up, which other lotions do. Despite regular applications 3 to 4 times each day I still managed to make a bottle last 7-8 weeks (using it on my face, neck and legs), so this works out at a couple of quid a week – perfect! It works really well and performed brilliantly during the ‘heatwave’ earlier this summer – I didn’t go red at all and I’m fairly pale skinned/blond haired and spend 6-7 hours outside each day. I’ve recommended it to my mates as they don’t usually like wearing sunscreen but I’ve managed to convince them of its value. Please buy this as I’d hate for La Roche Posay to stop manufacturing it….!
Carrotzy‘s review of Tigi Catwalk Sleek Mystique Blow Out Balm
Hello??!?!! I can’t believe there aren’t more reviews on this bottle of magic!!! Pure magic! I have asian hair which is pretty much unchangeable from its style. It’s a bit wavy, and while it looks like it should be all nice and tameable and everything, it’s actually almost impossible to get the kinks out of it without some sort of mega hold, crunch fest hairspray. And then enter this product, dundundunnn…Negatives first: the smell. It smells amazing, but it’s also reaaallly strong. And long lasting. I have scent sensitivity, so it gives me a mild headache – but for the results, I’m more than willing to overlook it. Positives – it gives the silkiest, most manageable and straight and shiny and AMAZING hair in the universe! I kid you not! For once my friend looking ends look acceptable – no wait, more than acceptable! It’s a shocker I know, considering Asian hair is notorious for its product resistance. Thou shalt not be disappointed. I’m not sure it’s a humanly possible outcome.
LexyB‘s review of the Bioderma Sensibio H2O – Micelle Solution
I have the worst skin you could possibly dream of. Over the years I’ve spent probably a small house deposit on specialist appointments and fancy skin care products. Had someone given me this stuff when I was 14 it would have made high school a much nicer experience. I think they should change the name from Micelle Solution to Miracle Solution because that’s what it has been for me. It removes make up, soothes irritated skin (even mild eczema) and takes the redness out of zits. Best of all, it’s fool proof!
Nessa‘s review of the Klorane Oatmilk Gentle Dry Shampoo
This was the first dry shampoo I ever purchased and I’m so glad I did. I have a pretty busy lifestyle so I don’t have time to be wash my thick, long hair sometimes. This product saves me from oily hair days. Not only does it make your hair look clean, but it adds volume and softness. It keeps my hair looking lovely between the days where I don’t have time to wash it. It’s quite easy to use, all you need is 2 minutes and a good brush! I have brown hair and any white residue disappears within a matter of minutes.
anzu‘s review of the Juliette has a Gun Fragrance Sample Set
I must admit I really love the Escentual fragrance sample sets: If you like fragrance it’s obviously a huge treat to be able to test and compare a wide range of perfumes and to expand one’s perfume horizon to things one hasn’t tried yet. But it’s also a great way – especially with more complicated, unusual perfumes – to test a fragrance and its development on the skin at leisure and in a variety of situations.
Last but not least it’s a really nice and affordable way to get to know some lesser known perfume ranges.
The packaging of the samples is as such lovely: each sample comes in a small envelope with a card explaining ingredients and general direction of the fragrance. Needless to say, among the 7 perfumes are some I liked and others which aren’t for me. But they are all very characteristic and exceptionel, very “round”, extremly long-lasting – and definetly interesting.
Delivery was perfect as always.
