Eight & Bob Annicke 5 Eau de Parfum Review
A rich, caramelised fragrance that mixes boozy rum with the golden nectar of delicious honey, Annicke 5 is the fifth of six tantalising scents from Eight & Bob’s Annicke Collection. The collection itself – launched in 2019 – was created in homage to Annicke; a beautiful Austrian woman who left an imprint on expert perfumer Albert Fouquet’s heart in the winter of 1936. Based on the scents that Albert crafted for Annicke at the time of their beloved romance, the Annicke Collection is for women who are captivated by the exclusivity of this unique fragrance collection, just like Annicke.
What Does It Smell Like:
Annicke 5 smells similar to a rich, liquorous dessert at a five-star restaurant. The jammy plum centre and a generous dousing of creamy vanilla caramel give the scent an expensive feel. It’s a sensuous amalgamation of sweet, spicy and smooth notes that makes for an unforgettable fragrance.
Top notes of zesty bergamot, white floral lily of the valley and warm rum blend effortlessly with an indulgent centre of sticky-sweet honey and caramelised plum, before closing with the lasting notes of soothing patchouli and creamy vanilla caramel.
Perfumes That Smell Similar Are…
Modern Muse Nuit by Estee Lauder has those familiar warm spicy and vanilla accords that we pick up on in Annicke 5. Similarly, Modern Muse Nuit has that same sweet yet smooth decadence, with comparable notes such as vanilla, patchouli and mandarin. Annicke 5 also incorporates zesty top notes, however, this is explored through bergamot.

This is a full-bodied fragrance with an impressively long lifetime on the skin. All six scents from the Annicke Collection have incredibly long-lasting aromas and moderate silages, too. Entice people with intoxicating sweetness as you walk by.

The jammy plum and vanilla caramel in this fragrance gives it a deep, smooth sweetness reminiscent of rich, indulgent foods that are the essence of Christmas. For this reason, I think this is a beautiful scent to keep you cosy in the winter.
Annicke 5’s Design and Aesthetic Is Special Because…
In line with all six scents in the collection, Annicke 5’s bottle design is elegant and simple; a translucent square glass bottle with a silver cylindrical-shaped lid. The most impressive part of the packaging, though, is the box design. A floral outer sleeve, a sleek modern box with the indent of the bottle shape intricately carved in the middle, and the story of how the Annicke Collection came about inside the box lid. It’s a super interesting feature and another layer to the collection that makes it so unique.

My Overall Experience
This is a deliciously rich scent that I can see myself reaching for in the colder months due to its spicy warmth and creamy sweetness. I wouldn’t usually go for a scent this intense, but the rum infuses some aromatic elements into it, making it super smooth and likeable. I particularly love that the story behind the Annicke Collection is penned onto the inside of every box. It adds a little extra bit of intrigue to the already alluring scent.
You Will Love Annicke 5 If…
If you love rich, caramelised scents, this is the one for you. It’s super creamy and sweet but top notes of aromatic rum ensure the scent isn’t bitter or too sickly. It may be a little bit on the higher end in terms of price, however, it’s long-lasting and will make you smell expensive!
