#1 The Game-Changing Serum

You only have to look at these before and afters to know why there could only be one favourite for me this month. It’s true, the Vitamin C Booster really does create better skin in 7 days. And, I got to see first hand the brightening and confidence-boosting effects it’s had on everyone, not just myself.

#2 The Instant Pick-Me-Up
Tisserand Aromatherapy National Geographic Explore Roller Ball
I’m always looking for new ways to manage my everyday stresses and anxieties like most of us – from exercise, bathing to aromatherapy. One of my newest secret weapons to instantly calm and focus is the Tisserand Explore Roller Ball. The best way to describe this scent is that it’s like a breath of fresh air! Every time I apply the all-natural essential oils to my pulse points it diffuses invigorating waves of peppermint, earthy petitgrain and spicy cardamom that continue to boost my mood throughout the day.
I have to admit that I’ve been quite sceptical when it comes to using aromatherapy products, but I’ve fully converted, which is all thanks to Tisserand! I feel comforted in the knowledge that I always have my trusty travel-size Explore Rollerball on hand to bring order to my busy mind at work, and on-the-go.
#3 The Trending Lipstick
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Sheer Matte Lipstick 108
If you’d told me last month, I’d be choosing a matte lipstick as my monthly favourite I would have laughed in your face. Me? The woman that’s always reapplying lip balm to her dry, chapped lips – you must be kidding. But here I am, telling you that I’ve done it; I’ve found a matte lip colour that is, dare I say it, comfortable.
YSL The Slim Sheer Matte is that lipstick, and I discovered it when I swatched the entire line-up. I hailed it as the ‘matte lipstick for someone who hates matte lipsticks’, and I stand by that statement; it has the pigment and staying power of a matte but doesn’t settle into fine lines or dry out your lips. It does have a little radiance that die-hard velvet-matte fans may not like, but other than that, and the fact I want more shades, I cannot wish for a more perfect lippie. If there’s one thing you buy this month – make it this!

#4 The Must-Have Palette
Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette
I stumbled across this favourite purely by accident in the office one day in fact; I’m going to admit something to you. When I first laid my eyes on this honeyed collection of buttery eyeshadows I didn’t think it was for me at all – oh how wrong could I be! It’s now a firm favourite of mine. Hence the reason I’m here today to tell you why it’s quickly gained OG status in my makeup collection.
It wasn’t until I started playing with this Naked eye palette to write the product description for our website that I discovered its full potential. Now, you should know that I’m a sucker for warm-toned shadows – give me a bronze, gold or something with a reddish-brown tone and I’m blissfully happy. I think initially, the reason I was so quick to judge this palette was that I thought it was leaning too much towards the ‘gold’ side of things, when in fact it doesn’t. What we have here is a mixture of totally blendable matte, metallic, shimmer and satin shades in glowing amber hues and rich chocolate browns. Create that perfect blown out bronzed smoky eye or even just a little bit of shimmer for a barely-there everyday makeup look – Urban Decay Naked Honey really is the little bit of sweetness that everyone needs – without the guilt!
#5 The Winter Essential
Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra Comforting Face Balm
I’m always on the lookout for lotions and potions to help with my sensitive skin, so when I heard the Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra Comforting Face Balm was on its way, I couldn’t wait to try it. I was not disappointed, smelling divine with honey and hints of mimosa.
This cream feels more luxurious than most daily moisturisers I have tried, not greasy just moisturising, making it a great go-to for a top-up throughout the day. With the weather changing and having been exposed to air conditioning all summer, my skin has, as usual, been in desperate need of moisture. I’ve loved using this cream and so has my skin. A welcome addition to my skincare routine, it will definitely be going on my wish-list for Christmas.

#6 The Daily Protector
DECLEOR Antidote Daily Advanced Concentrate
As a big fan of Decleor, on first hearing of the Antidote serum, I was excited! This is a fantastic start to my day. The scent is a lovely mix of peppermint, sandalwood and patchouli essential oils, and it really kick starts my day. I’m using this as it protects against daily aggressors, and slots nicely into my routine in the mornings. It also glides onto the skin, a real luxurious product. I rub a couple of drops into my hands after cleansing and gently apply all over my face. With a goal of looking great for the Christmas season, this is my little secret that I’m happy to share.
#7 The Pretty Perfume
Miller Harris Secret Gardenia Eau de Parfum Spray
Miller Harris always seems to surprise me, and I have once again fallen in love with one of their new fragrances, Secret Gardenia. This sensual Eau de Parfum captures the beautiful, fresh scents from one of the flowers in London’s secret gardens. This fragrance is one of the new editions to the Miller Harris colour collection and its pure matte white bottle is the perfect addition to my dressing table. The beautiful, fresh scent reminds me of a fresh bouquet of flowers.
#8 The Christmas Edition
Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal-Extract Alcohol-Free Toner – Holiday Edition
I’ve always had trouble picking a suitable toner for my combination skin. I’ve either ended up with ones that don’t really do anything or ones that are too strong and completely dry out my skin, sometimes to the point of making me come out in a rash! However, I found the perfect fit with Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal-Extract Alcohol-Free Toner. It tones my face without being harsh and makes my skin feel smooth and soothed. It’s been so good that it converted me to the rest of the Calendula range too.
So as a die-hard fan of the original, I just had to get my hands on the new Holiday Edition! The custom-designed label by Finnish artist, Janine Rewell is so playful and festive – it gets me right in the mood for Christmas every morning! The purple lid is a great little addition too; it makes the bottle really stand out on my skincare shelf.
