September Beauty Team Favourites

Beauty Team Favourites - September

September is one of the busiest months of the year for new launches. It’s that golden time of year when fragrance houses showcase their most intriguing scents in time for the Christmas season (you can see a round-up of some of the most exciting ones here), so you can imagine that we’ve been in our element!

Here’s what’s new, what’s good, and what we can’t get enough of this month – forget the summer to autumn slump, because these picks are solid gold…

Ceryn's Favourites - September

September has been a whirlwind. From completing my house renovation to taking my late summer holiday, it’s safe to say September has been a busy month. That being said, on the rare occasion when I am at home I can clearly see what products I have been loving, as they’re always safely stowed inside my handbag or travel bag. From a time-saving makeup remover to a sensitive skin exfoliator, this trio makes me feel amazing even if I’m rushed off my feet…

Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Essence de Parfum Eau de Parfum
They say never to judge a book by its cover, but when it comes to the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Essence de Parfum judge all you want because you will not be let down. Hypnotised at very sight and sniff, I have not let it out of my sight since. A sophisticated perfume with dreamy notes of ginger, jasmine, orange blossom, vanilla and Chantilly cream, I have no plans to let the Classique Essence de Parfum leave my side anytime soon!

Caudalie Deep Cleansing Exfoliator
It’s no secret that I love exfoliators (read my many posts here), so it’s no wonder that this new exfoliator has found its way into my favourites. This month my skin has been very temperamental with bouts of eczema and blemishes popping up left, right and centre. So, I needed a new exfoliator that could get rid of impurities and excess oiliness without drying out my skin – queue the Deep Cleansing Exfoliator. Infused with active ingredients and natural origin corn beads, the exfoliator is abrasive enough that you can feel it work, but moisturising and soft enough that it never irritates.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
With a house renovation in progress, late nights are a regular in my life. When I am crawling up the stairs, covered in gloss, the last thing I want to do is a 5-step cleansing routine, so I have found myself reaching time and time again for the classic DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. Two pumps of the award-winning oil (enriched with antioxidant vitamin E, rosemary leaf oil and hydrating olive oil) melts away all of my makeup in seconds – minimal effort for maximum cleansing!

Chelsey's Favourites - September

September has been all about stripping back for me. Now prepped and ready to go full blown ‘autumn’ with my beauty routine, my top 3 picks involve a lip enhancer to plump, a glowing fragrance to enchant and an undereye saviour to brighten my current makeup look – these dark mornings are tough! Check them out below…

Givenchy Dahlia Divin Le Essence de Parfum
For me, fragrances are all about trails. There’s nothing that I love more than leaving an olfactory stream of glowing fragrance, and with the latest release from Givenchy, I’ve spent the month doing exactly that. Unique and pretty, its woody floral composition makes me feel as golden as Candice Swanepoel in the TV campaign with every single spritz – it’s pretty special.

Real Techniques Mini Sponges
Thanks to the nifty shape of these precise mini sponges, I can finally conceal, bake and blend to my heart’s content. My under eyes have never looked so bright! Unlike the sought-after Miracle Sponge, the clear-cut edges of the minis let me get into all facial nooks and crannies, letting me create a more blended, natural finish. I like to keep one for powder and one for concealer to avoid a messy sponge!

NIOD Bio-Lipid Concentrate
The NIOD Bio-Lipid Concentrate has been calling my name since it launched last year, as I’ve been in the market for something that’s going maximise my lip shape without going under the knife. Fuller, more pronounced lips are something I’ve always strived to achieve. From first application, its tingly action instantly improved the volume and colour of my lips. It’s only been a week, but I’m already over the moon with my plumped results – stay tuned for a full review coming at the end of October!

Emma's Favourites - September

I’ve been in my element with newness this month. So instead of picking a mix of loves both old and new, I’ve picked three brand new things to share with you all – the classics don’t even get a look in! The most important things in my routine are a fresh and comfortable foundation, a flattering lip colour and a transportive fragrance, and this month I’ve hit the jackpot with all three. No matter your skin type or skin tone, I truly think you’ll love these…

New In…

Zadig & Voltaire This Is Her!
This is the scent of my autumn so far. Zadig & Voltaire This Is Her! is an unassuming fragrance upon first glance (that lithe black and white bottle doesn’t exactly scream ‘cuddly autumn scent’). But, as with all of the most important things, it’s what’s inside that counts, and This Is Her! is a fragrance definitely worth getting to know. If you’re looking for something snuggly, distinctive and sumptuous without the heaviness, this delectable chestnut, jasmine and sandalwood fragrance is for you.

Shiseido Rouge Rouge Lipstick
You wait for the perfect lipstick, then 16 glorious shades come along at once! Shiseido’s Rouge Rouge is a brand new demi-matte lipstick that showcases the variety, depth and power of the colour red. Amongst the line-up you’ll find everything from deep ruby reds to fresh nude pinks, with plenty of cool, warm and neutral hues to suit all skintones. I absolutely adore the shade Rose Crush – see me wearing it and catch up with all of the shades available here.

Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Foundation
When it comes to crafting a foundation that looks and feels like your skin, only more perfected, Guerlain utterly nails it. Their classic Lingerie de Peau foundation has been reformulated with a thinner texture (all the better for buffing) and with really impressive skin-fusing technology. It’s buildable, it looks natural, it lasts all day and it has a great selection of shades that range from pale to deep. It’s your next favourite foundation.

Over to you!
