Roger & Gallet Hand Creams

Working at a computer for most of the day means that I pay a lot of attention to the comfort of my hands – when they’re stuck out in front of you all day, it’s hard to ignore them! This coupled with my love of fragrance means that I’m a sucker for a scented hand cream. I’ve had ’em all, from L’Occitane to Crabtree & Evelyn, and I tend to choose my scent of the day as I would my daily fragrance.
Though you may not be as fastidious about hand cream as I am, it is likely that you’re attuned to the wellbeing of your hands. If so, you’ll really love the Roger & Gallet Hand Cream Collection, a beautiful range of textures and scents to suit all, each created with a base of natural origin and botanical extracts.
These creams are extensions of existing Roger & Gallet fragrance ranges: romantic and calming Rose, happy and uplifting Fleur d’Osmanthus, and sultry and tropical Creme Sublime. It’s a dream collection for scent and hand cream lovers alike – the concentration of fragrance is really impressive.
The Rose Hand & Nail Cream is a beauty. It’s the soothing one of the hand cream collection, offering lightweight and comfortable moisture with its blend of shea butter, glycerin and rose extract. Rose is especially good for bring down redness and calming the skin, so its little wonder this sweet scented cream feels so soothing once applied. The texture of the cream is more glycerin than thick shea butter, so you can apply with abandon without hands being sticky.
The scent: Delicately and creamy. Roger & Gallet’s Rose fragrance range is scented with rosebuds, peony and almond milk, making for a dreamy rather than vivacious take on the rose.
I’ve yet to find a person who hasn’t been completely taken with the aroma of Fleur d’Osmanthus once trialled. It’s so fruity and uplifting! Of the three, the Fleur d’Osmanthus Hand and Nail Cream is my favourite: not too lightweight, not too heavy, and perfectly refreshing. After use my hands feel well cared for thanks to the shea butter and apricot oil blend, and the moisturised feeling lasts for a good few hours before my next application. Of course, the rich infusion of that addictive scent doesn’t hurt, either…!
The scent: It’s all of the zingy, uplifting fruits and flowers all in one place – mandarin, grapefruit, neroli osmanthus blossom and apricot, quenching and beautiful. Described by Roger & Gallet as a ‘euphoric’ perfume, I have to say that I’m inclined to agree. An application of this hand cream is like a little jolt of happy energy!
Creme Sublime is the most luxuriant of the bunch. It’s made with an SPF of 15, which naturally thickens the composition, but it’s no less rapidly absorbed into the skin. Its blend of oils includes argan and evening primrose oil to provide serious nourishment, which makes hands feel velvety soft. Of the three, this cream is the best suited to mature, dry, or troublesome hands that need extra protection.
The scent: Pure sunshine. Think suntan lotion, sunwarmed white flowers, coconut water and tropical breezes, and you’re there. The Creme Sublime Hand and Nail Cream is part of the Bois d’Orange Eau Sublime range which includes a perfumed dry oil, a fresh fragrance spray and a body lotion, and it’s absolutely perfect for the summertime (or any time you’d to feel like it is!).
