Mslotfox‘s review of Clarins Be Long Mascara

Straight to the point – this mascara has really impressed me! I’ve been using it for three weeks now.The ultra chic, sleek, golden packaging is a pleasure to have in your cosmetic bag. Love the little silicone brush that allows to coat every single tiny lash I didn’t know existed. I have very stubborn lashes that grow downwards and I have to curl them before putting mascara on but I was very pleased to learn that this mascara didn’t weigh them down at all. My lashes stay curled and definitely are looking longer after applying two coats of this product. Mascara doesn’t smudge during the day and stays where it supposed to be- on the lashes and not on the lids. This is a really big thing for people like me, with quite oily skin even around the eyes. Its also easy to remove by the end of the day, I do it with Bioderma micellar water. A staple in my every day make-up routine!

7petals‘ review of the Mason Pearson Bristle/Nylon Popular BN1 Hairbrush

My first Mason Pearson was a kiddies’ junior one in pink. For my 21st birthday, I was bought a grown-up size one with a beatiful wooden base. When that one finally bit the dust I treated myself to a Popular which I have had ever since. It’s hard to describe how utterly fabulous these brushes are until you use one yourself. If you have long hair, I have no idea how you manage without one. I have bought MP brushes for both my daughters, my brothers’ daughters and have just bought a teeny one for my grand-daughter for her 2nd birthday. A wonderful, traditional brand which, hopefully will go on forever!

walkingdeadfangirl‘s review of the Vichy Dermablend Dermasmooth Foundation

Suffering from acne has been extremely hard for me. Im a very self conscious person anyway, and after using lots of different concealers and foundations desperately trying to cover and hide my flaws, nothing worked and I was devastated. It made me not want to go outside. But then I came across dermablend corrective foundation and I can honestly say its changed my life.

When I first used the foundation, I have to admit I was a little nervous. I just imagined the foundation being thick and cakey, but its the complete opposite. It was very effective- it covered up all my imperfections immediately, without being cakey, and I didnt even have to use that much- which means it’s going to last me a very long time, which no one could complain about! It covered everything up so well that I didn’t even have to put concealer on aswell, which is an added bonus.

The colour I chose was opal, as I have very pail skin, and the colour matched my skin perfectly, better than any foundation I’ve ever used before, which shocked me because I’ve used foundations that adapt to your skin tone on a number of occasions. It gave me an even skin tone and was so light on my skin it didnt even seem like I was wearing foundation, which I loved.

I found the foundation easy to apply, I would just squeeze a small amount onto the back of my hand and start applying to my face with a brush. What I really liked was that it wasnt runny and didn’t pour out of the tube extremely quickly which would have caused a mess. It was simple, but effective.

Once applied, the foundation will stay on all day, and im currently doing a musical theatre course at college where I do several different kinds of dance every day that are extremely intense, and the make up never runs or sweats off, which I find amazing as I sweat so much during my dancing! I only find that the makeup becomes a little dewy, but thats to be expected and im sure it wouldn’t happen if you wernt exercising throughout the day.

I can honestly say that dermablend corrective foundation really has changed my life. I’m alot more confident in myself, I find myself socialising more, and I don’t feel the need to hide my face everyday! It has honestly made me a happier, better person, and I cant this foundation enough for that. So, if you suffer from acne then I strongly recommend this foundation. Its the best thing I’ve ever done for my skin, and the best foundation out there.

Rockbun‘s review of the Diorskin Nude Rose Powder

Miracle Powder. I have been trying to achieve a soft dewy finish with my make up for a few years now so I was reluctant to try a powder finish on my 60+ skin.

The few hot days we enjoyed earlier this year made me realise that I needed a little something to set my tinted moisturiser. This powder is absolutely wonderful. It is so very fine that it doesn’t sit in wrinkles or feel cakey. It just gives you a fresh translucent glow and makes your make up last that much longer. The container it comes in is beautiful and it even houses it’s own soft powder puff. As you only need a tiny amount with no wastage it should last ages.

amberlikescats‘ review of the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

This is by far the best brush I have ever used to apply my foundation. The brush is dense and really works the product into your skin effectively and blends really evenly. Additionally, I love how the sides are thinner and a bit more tapered; it allows you to get into the smaller areas of the face, such as around the nose and under the eyes. I just pop some of my foundation, tinted moisturizer, BB cream, etc. onto the back of my hand and buff the product into my skin and it looks flawless. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. It’s worth every penny
