We’re snooping inside your favourite beauty lover’s shopping bags in our Pretty Pennies Hauls! Each month, we’re challenging makeup artists, dermatologists and content creators to spend their Pretty Pennies, and we’re sharing their beauty buys and bargains with you…

For this instalment of Pretty Pennies, we invited ourselves around to Stephanie’s house – well, nearly! We asked Stephanie to reveal the fragrances that scent her home. Like many people in 2022, she lives and works at home and finds scent an excellent way to set moods and relax. Here are her must-haves…
The Challenge
We asked Content Creator, Stephanie Yeboah, to spend her 10,000 Pretty Pennies (£100) on her home fragrance favourites.
1. A Sleep-Easy Spray
Tisserand Aromatherapy Sleep Better Pillow Mist
I find it incredibly difficult to get to sleep, and one of the things I’ve found that helps is pillow mists! The Tisserand Sleep Better Pillow mist features one of my favourite scents, Lavender, which helps me wind down and relax after a busy day. The scent isn’t too overpowering. However, it packs enough punch for me to start feeling comfortably drowsy after giving my pillow 3-4 sprays.
2. A Peppermint Diffuser
Tisserand Aromatherapy Peppermint Organic Pure Essential Oil
I’m a sucker for home scents, and there’s something incredibly cleansing and refreshing about the peppermint scent. Not only does it make rooms smell fresh, but it can also keep pesky spiders at bay! Put 8-10 drops in an oil burner or diffuser, then sit back and relax.
3. A Tea-Scented Candle
Miller Harris Tea Scented Candle
Candles are an easy way to relax and unwind after a long day (or any day, to be honest!), and there’s nothing more serene than popping on the kettle to brew a cup of tea, and being surrounded by the scent of different tea flavours, offset by notes of Bergamot. The Miller Harris Tea Scented candle has a 50-hour burn time and offers a clean burn.
4. A Floral Home Perfume
L’Occitane Douceur Immortelle Uplifting Home Perfume
L’Occitane is incredible when it comes to floral and fresh scents, and their Uplifting Home Perfume is no different. Named after the French Immortelle flower, the home scent features a plethora of essential oils and basil with a dash of eucalyptus, making my home almost smell like a forest. I give the perfume a few sprays in the morning, and the scent can last for a good four to five hours before respraying.
5. A Cosy-Up Candle
Boujee Bougies Cuir Culture Candle
If you’re looking for a sexy, seductive scent perfect for setting the mood, look no further than the Boujee Bougies Cuir Culture candle. I keep this candle in the bedroom to make the most of the scent throw, which is a mixture of warm spices like amber mixed with leather. It’s a beautiful, cosy scent for those looking to stay indoors with a good book or if you’re up for entertaining for the night.
