1. A Candle For Fragrance Lovers
Name: Chelsey Edmunds
Product Pick: Boujee Bougies Cuir Culture Candle
My love affair with Boujee Bougies started over a year ago, but only now can I talk about it at Escentual as we’ve just launched the brand – exclusively, may I add! Cuir Culture isn’t like any other candle you own. It’s unique and sexy. A play on leather, cuir – pronounced queer – means leather in French. But this queer celebration isn’t rainbows; it’s alternative, and more of patented black. From concept to curation, everything is cleverly composed with Cuir – it’s impossible not to adore.
2. The Baltic-Weather Lip Balm
Name: Ceryn Lawless
Product Pick: Florena Intense Hydration Lip Butter
I went to Tromso this month, a city better known as the capital of the Arctic. So you guessed it, it’s freezing. I don’t know how I would’ve fared without this lip balm; my lips are prone to extreme dryness even in the UK. I love the balm’s creamy texture, which is down to a unique blend of fermented portulaca and olive oil. It’s not so rich that it doesn’t blend in either. It’s become a staple of mine – I have a mild panic whenever I think I’ve left the house without it!
3. The Does-It-All Skincare Balm
Name: Darcey Bayliss
Product Pick: L’Occitane The Petit Remedy
When I hear the words ‘L’Occitane’ and ‘new launch’ my ears prick up, so of course my favourite product this month is the L’Occitane The Petit Remedy. The 100% naturally derived semi-solid balm is a delight for any multi-functional skincare fans, with over 50 different functions! Infused with a blend of almond oil, olive oil and fair trade shea-butter the formula deeply nourishes the skin, combating everything from split ends to dry cuticles. Plus, the award-winning formula is housed within a pocket-sized pot, which slips perfectly into any bag for lip, hair or nail emergencies.
4. The Cosy-Up Candle
Name: Jade Summers
Product Pick: Miller Harris Tea Scented Candle
The Miller Harris candles feel and look so luxurious and they’re the perfect addition to your home this season. The Tea Scented Candle is my ultimate favourite. Once lit and burnt for a few minutes, it leaves a calming feel around the room with an earthy and smoky scent. What I love most about these vegan candles is the mix of soy and rapeseed in the wax, which creates the perfect burn to help the scent last up to 50 hours.
5. The Everyday Lip Colour
Name: Hannah Bullamore
Product Pick: GUERLAIN KissKiss Shine Bloom Lipstick in 521 – Kiss To Say
After just one swipe of the GUERLAIN lipstick, I was hooked and reached for the plumy mauve shade 521 over and over again – it looks dark in the tube but it’s such a wearable and uplifting shade in reality. With the colour pigment of a lipstick but the buttery soft feeling of a balm, I love the way that this leaves my lips plump and smooth for incredibly comfortable all-day wear.
It’s super shiny when first applied, and even after many cups of tea throughout the day, my lips were left with a pretty stain of colour. As an added bonus, it’s packed with hyaluronic acid, rose extract and shea butter which is perfect for cold winter days when my pout needs an extra dose of hydration.
6. The ‘Save For Best’ Scent
Name: Eleni Banti
Product Pick: The Merchant Of Venice Imperial Emerald Eau de Parfum Spray
I’m in awe with the latest launch from The Merchant Of Venice, Imperial Emerald. Everything about their newest Eau de Parfum shouts opulence. The incredible blend of warm amber, sweet vanilla and exotic florals create an experience that tantalises the senses. And it comes as no surprise that Imperial Emerald was inspired by the beauty and majesty of the peacock.
The box adds to the feeling of grandeur by illustrating the almost-magical peacock, which is enhanced by touches of gold. It splits open and reveals the beautifully decorated bottle of overlapping peacock feathers, which has an ornamental peacock feather tassel that dangles beneath the golden lid.
Imperial Emerald Eau de Parfum creates a regal feeling for anyone who wears it and generates a long-lasting scented trail that has me hooked.
7. The Modern Christmas Red Lip
Name: Keavy Slattery
Product Pick: GIVENCHY Le Rouge Deep Velvet in 19 – Rouge Santal
There’s something about a red lip that makes you feel confident, chic and, for me, a little festive. Sparkles, tinsel and red lippy are three of my favourite parts about Christmas but the perfect red shade is hard to find. But, I’ve finally done it. I’ve found that elusive red, and luckily, it’s just in time for Christmas!
The GIVENCHY Le Rouge Deep Velvet in shade Rouge Santal isn’t your traditional postbox red; it’s deep, dark and has a matte finish that looks understated but still makes an impression. Your lips look fuller and softer after applying, which I put down to the nourishing mango butter it’s infused with. Velvety on the lips and on the outer case, the GIVENCHY Le Rouge is wrapped up in a luxurious red case that will add an elegant accent to your festive evening look.
