Our January Empties
Share
We do count ourselves lucky being able to try and test the latest products or use our staff discount to purchase icons at a reduced price (work perks!). However, the constant flow of newness means that something has to rock our world if we make it to the end of the bottle, tub or tube – especially if we decide to repurchase it. So with that in mind, we thought that it was about time we shouted about the products that we’ve used up with an ‘empties’ round-up, will they remain staples in our bathrooms or makeup bags or will we want to try something new instead? Find out…

Product Pick: Klorane Aquatic Mint Anti Pollution Detox Shampoo
Repurchase/ Try Something New
Since Chelsey raved about this product to me (she described it like mouthwash for your hair!) It’s become a staple in my weekly hair routine. If you’ve read any of my haircare edits – you’ll know I’m a big advocate of detoxing my hair once a week to get rid of any build-up or nasties. This does the job effortlessly and leaves my hair beautifully clean and shiny. But, what makes this clarifying shampoo a cut above the others I’ve tried is the scent, it’s a sweet minty fresh that you can smell on your hair hours after washing it. I already have a back up in my bathroom cabinet!

Product Pick: Uriage Eau Thermale Water Spray
Repurchase/ Try Something New
When I first tried the Uriage Thermale Water Spray, I instantly knew that it had to be a part of my daily skincare routine. I’ll cut to the chase, I will be buying another bottle, and I’ll be buying the bigger size this time – although the smaller version is perfect for popping into my bag and using on the go! I love that it’s so hydrating and cooling on my skin, and it’s a great step to include after cleansing to add an extra layer of hydration before following up with my serum and moisturiser. Sometimes I’ll add another spritz after that! I’m not surprised I ran out so quickly!

Product Pick: Vichy Mineralblend Hydrating Foundation
Repurchase/ Try Something New
I’ve been working at Escentual for over a year now, and the Vichy Mineralblend Hydrating Foundation had just launched when I started, I remember trying it, and it was love at first application! This month, I’ve used up yet another tube of my OG base product, and yes, I already have another one in my stash ready to go! I get to try a lot of new foundations. Still, Vichy Mineralblend foundation will always and forever be my trusted go-to – it’s the dewy finish, and hyaluronic acid packed formula that does it for me every time!

Product Pick: Vichy Liftactiv Specialist Peptide-C Anti-Ageing Ampoules
Repurchase/ Try Something New
Janette, Vichy’s Head of Training mentioned that these are best to use in cycles. So I’ll be taking a break and trying something new!
Wow! My skin has done a 180 since using these Vichy Ampoules, and I’ll 100% be rebuying then next season because my complexion is already missing them! As most of you know by now, I’m a massive fan of all things vitamin C – everything just looks better with this wonder ingredient and these ampoules gave me glowing skin after only a week of using them. Do you know what else I love about them, though? That satisfying ‘pop’ that they give every time you open a new one – I’m obsessed! If you’re after a product to make your skin glow or anti-ageing is a concern, I highly recommend these – it was a sad day when mine ran out!

Product Pick: La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra 8 Daily Soothing Hydrating Concentrate
Repurchase/ Try Something New
I won’t just be buying another one of this hydrating facial mists; I will be buying two because I never want to be without it in my skincare routine! Why? Because it has helped my dry, eczema-prone skin no end! It only has eight ingredients and includes glycerin for a boost of hydration and La Roche-Posay Thermal Water to soothe. I’ll be honest; I loved this water spray when it first launched but quickly moved on to something else. I recently revived it from my collection when I read Caroline Hiron’s skincare book from cover to cover. She talks about the importance of using a hydrating spritz every day and recommended this one in particular; my skin has never looked better!
