Origins Reinvent The Heel Moisturiser Review

Reinventing The Heel for review

Reinventing The Heel is an ultra-moisturising cream for dry, cracked feet in jeopardy – and that’s exactly where my feet were. After years of wearing ill-fitting shoes, they were absolutely ruined. My heels were cracked, soles were dry and I desperately needed a pedicure. When I first applied Reinventing The Heel, I wondered how long I’d have to wait before I was walking on air again. And a couple of applications later, my feet were sandal season ready!

The Most Important Thing About Reinventing The Heel Is…

Reinventing The Heel transforms sore, dry and cracked feet. From your heel to your toes, your feet feel totally hydrated. After 10+ years of working on my feet, they looked a little ropey. I’m always embarrassed to get them out in the summer and have tried so many lotions and treatments that seem to do the job short term but the effects don’t seem to last much longer than a couple of weeks before me and my feet are walking back to square one. However, that’s where Reinventing The Heel differs from other foot creams. It actually works, tackling cracking and dryness head on and preventing further damage. Smothering my feet in this cream is my new favourite thing to do before bed!

What Skin Type Is It For?

This can be used on all skin types. However, ensure you avoid using this on broken, irritated and sensitive skin.

You Will Love This If…

You’re at your wits end with dry, cracked feet. Before I used Origins’ Reinventing The Heel, the soles of my feet were rough and my toes were callused and dry from wearing tight, uncomfortable shoes. I was surprised to see how quickly this worked to soften the rugged skin. After just a few uses of this rich cream my feet were totally transformed and I’m no longer embarrassed to whip them out of my socks!

Hero Ingredients:

Rich rose fruit and jojoba oils help soothe sore soles while tingly menthol and peppermint give feet a refreshing kick and ensure no slippery soles. Shea butter swoops in to give the moisturiser its richness which helps to soften and smooth cracks.

What Does It Feel Like?

Cooling, soothing and deeply hydrating. Reinventing The Heel feels like a comforting cuddle for cracked feet. Menthol tingles as it works to calm and refresh aching soles, which I found to be a really lovely addition to this formula. The thing I usually struggle with when using foot creams is how sticky and slippery they make my feet feel. However, Reinventing The Heel doesn’t feel like any foot cream I’ve tried before! It absorbs into sore soles quickly and without leaving a greasy residue, meaning you could pop this under socks and head out for the day without feeling unstable on your feet.

What Does It Smell Like?

Reinventing The Heel has a citrusy, mentholy scent that is both refreshing and soothing. The mintiness isn’t overwhelming and is toned down with sparkling rose fruit and calming jojoba.

How Do You Use The Product?

I did my usual pumice stone ritual to exfoliate my feet first, dried them off and applied Reinventing The Heel before locking in the moisture with a pair of cotton socks. This step wasn’t mentioned by the brand, it’s just something I do when I’m giving my feet an intense rehydration session. Do not apply it to broken, irritated, or sensitive skin.

What’s Special About The Design?

The bottle is a simple, but creative design – a white 150ml tube with green swirls. It is a similar design to Origins’ Leg Lifts and reflects the simplicity and naturality of the ingredients used to create the formula.
