October has been all about newness! From brand new collections to re-imagining the classics, this month has been a treasure trove of exciting new launches.
It’s safe to say that we’ve thoroughly enjoyed putting all the products to the test, and we’re itching to let you in on what we’ve been loving. So, without further ado, here’re our beauty team’s top picks for the month of October…
Chelsey
Pamper addicts rejoice! Tis the season to be sparkly, whether it be with your complexion, your pins or your eyeliner. This month, I’m talking about the crème de la crème of face masks, the ultimate glamour eyeliner and a silky-soft body cream, that you’ll never want to be without. Get ready to find your new October favourite below…
Caudalie Mix & Mask Trio
I am the face mask magpie. So, when I spied this Caudalie trio for only £14.25 – I had to snap it up. Multi-masking is perfect for my temperamental skin, therefore, this set fits my purifying needs perfectly. Inside, you’ve got the super-powered Moisturising Mask (ideal for the colder weather), the Glycolic Peel to give you all of the radiance and the Instant Detox mask, which is a perfect Sunday ritual. What’s not to love?
DHC Dry Skin Care Cream
The texture of this body cream is everything! Balmy, silky and not to mention deeply hydrating, its kind-to-skin blend of 14 essential oils instantly makes your body look and feel oh, so supple! I love the smell of subtle lavender paired with the glossy finish that it leaves on my skin – it’s simply divine and a definite repurchase!
Guerlain L’Or Felt Eyeliner
Guerlain and glitter = two of my favourite things. But, what’s even more special about this decadent glitter eyeliner is its stunning gold pigment. Wear it alone or on top of eye shadow – you can choose to be subtle or statement with your application as it doesn’t budge. For me, it’s the perfect way to dress up any makeup look this autumn.

October has been a month of utter indulgence! From revisiting an old fragrance favourite to discovering a new haircare hero, I have really enjoyed the beauty launches October has had to offer. Curious to know what’s made this month’s line-up? Let’s dive right in…
Givenchy Very Irresistible Eau de Toilette Sparkling Edition
Very Irresistible has a really special place in my heart. It’s the fragrance that I wore on my 18th birthday, my first official day as an ‘adult’, and it never fails to bring back those memories of feeling all grown-up and pretty. This Christmas, Givenchy have given me and all other Very Irresistible fans a huge treat by giving the iconic fuchsia bottle a makeover: it’s dipped in ultra fine, ultra-glamorous silver shimmer. 18-year-old me would be screaming with joy. Wait… nope, that’s 27-year-old me screaming.
Roger & Gallet The Vert Relaxing Shower Gel
I first discovered Roger & Gallet through the uplifting The Vert fragrance, a light and sparkling aroma inspired by the Far East. It went away for a while, but now it’s come back (hallelujah!), and it’s available in a whole range of bath and body gems. My favourite is the The Vert Relaxing Shower Gel, which is thick, unctuous and produces the richest bubbles imaginable. Its infusion of fragrance is really impressive – after I use this I don’t even bother with added scent.
Bumble and bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Balm-To-Oil Pre-Shampoo Masque
I’ve inherited the hair equivalent of a Pandora’s Box from my parents. On my dad’s side there’s Belizian curls, whilst on my mum’s side there’s Irish coarseness… and when they come together? Well, I’ll be honest, it’s a bit of a calamity at times. Over the years I’ve learned not to fight against my hair and instead embrace its free-spiritedness, and I do that with moisture. Lots and lots of moisture. My favourite new hair treat is this Balm-To-Oil mask from Bumble and bumble, which is perfect for use as a moisturising pre-shampoo treatment. Its oily consistency is so lavish, it smells incredible and my hair has a good amount of glossy weight afterwards, without feeling too heavy. Dry, afro, coarse and unruly hair types will love this.

I’ll be the first to admit that my beauty drawers are full to the brim, so when I find myself continually reaching for a certain product, I know it’s a keeper! And that’s what October has been all about for me, discovering and enjoying all the newness on offer. This month I can say with hand on heart that my three favourites are ones that are as effective as they are a complete pleasure to use…
Roger & Gallet Aura Mirabilis Beauty Vinegar
There’s nothing I love more than testing new skincare. And, when said skincare turns out to be a skin-smoothing, pore-tighetening treat, well you can’t help but smile. Good skin can make you feel on top of the world, and that’s how I’ve felt this month trying this new post-cleansing toner. Enriched with 18 distilled and officinal plants, this toner removes left over makeup and eliminates dead skin cells, while refreshing and clarifying the skin. All I can say is, well done Roger & Gallet!
Klorane Mango Butter Nourishing Leave-In Cream
Hair care has always slipped at the wayside for me, until recently that is. This month I discovered the Klorane Mango range, after reviewing it for a blog post, and it really made me enjoy taking care of my hair again (who’d have thought hey?). The product that sealed the deal was the Klorane Mango Butter Leave-In Cream, a no-rinse conditioner packed with nourishment and protection. Despite owning this for a little while, it wasn’t until I used in tandem with the entire range that I truly experienced its magic. Now I’m hooked!
If you’ve never tried anything from Laura Geller then you’re missing out! Everything I’ve tried to date has been amazing, and the Spackle Mist is no different! A magnificent multi-tasker, this mist; primes, sets and hydrates in one. So, if you carry your makeup around with you, this will really lighten the load. Infused with cucumber extract, soothing aloe vera and vitamin B5, it’s the perfect pick-me up and you’ll notice a huge different in how well your makeup lasts – I did!
Over to you!
