Our November Beauty Favourites

Our team are back to share their favourite new beauty of the month! Whether you’re looking for a new mascara, lip colour or skin-boosting serum, the team have you covered…
1. The Nude Sparkly Lip
When the Christmas collections launch on-site, that’s when I start to feel festive. To my surprise, I was lucky enough to get sent a few bits from the GUERLAIN Golden Bee range before we launched it; the Rouge G Top Coat instantly piqued my interest – it’s something I’d never usually buy myself.
Matte is my typical chosen finish, but the shimmery glaze of this lipstick adds a classy bit of Christmas sparkle that I didn’t know I was looking for. As soon as I tried it on, I said wow out loud. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to try something different with their lip at Christmas, without straying too far from their comfort zone.
2. The Mega-Volume Mascara
Forget actions; sometimes, pictures speak louder than words. That’s why I’ve applied Urban Decay’s Lash Freak Mascara to just my left eye here, so you can see the colour, definition and volume it gives compared to my natural lashes.
What wowed me the most about Lash Freak was – at first – the stats: it offers up to 23.6 times more volume. But the wand is also just as impressive – it features an asymmetrical side to load lashes with the long-lasting formula, plus a curved side to enhance lift. But it’s the tip I love the most; I don’t like to overload my bottom lashes with too much mascara, so it’s perfect for definition and it helps to separate lashes too. It’s also great for the thinner, sparser lashes nearer the inner eye.
3. The Non-Sticky Gloss
Vernis A Levres is a breakthrough water stain. It has all of the shine of a gloss, but without any of the stickiness – hallelujah! Because of its water-based formula, its become my every day, WFH lip colour. It feels weightless and comfortable thanks to added aloe vera, and the colour enhances the natural colour of your lips; it’s the ideal your lips but better water stain. My go-to shade is 214 – Beige Alliance, a gorgeous muted rose with a brown shift.
4. The Glow-Boosting Serum
There was a time when I didn’t use a serum in my skincare routine. But now that I’m savvy to the benefits of using one, I can’t get enough of them! Perfect for targeting specific skin concerns they can boost your skin health. When the Philosophy Renewed Hope In a Jar Renewing Dew Concentrate launched, it had my name written all over it! I’ll hold my hands up; I was initially drawn in by the packaging (sorry, not sorry – I’m a sucker for anything sleek, black and white!).
Still, it’s what this serum does to my skin that makes it such a beauty must-have, especially if you have fine lines, wrinkles or dehydrated skin. Packed with all the good stuff including anti-inflammatory vitamin E, intensively hydrating aloe vera and vitamin C to repair and brighten a dull complexion it’s like a nourishing and detoxifying super smoothie for your face! I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now under my usual moisturiser both day and night, and I love the extra glowy smooth boost it’s given my skin!
5. The Special Edition Powder
SOLD OUT
It’s that time of year again – the GUERLAIN Christmas collection has arrived, and I managed to bag the Golden Bee Meteorites before it sold out! Each feature is more exciting than the next, including the Bee engraved gold case, which you can keep to store your keepsakes when it’s all used up.
And, inside, a new set of pastel pearl shades to explore – gold, pink and blue, and of course the familiar, almost edible parma violet scent – yum! For me, everything about this powder sparks joy; from the heavenly glow, it leaves on your complexion to the way it feels on the skin and the luxe tin that it comes in. Love Meteorites? You can still shop the other limited editions too!

6. The Iridescent Autumn Lip
My jaw dropped the first time I saw this Le Rouge. A part of GIVENCHY’s 2020 Christmas collection, iThis lipstick literally made me go “wow” when I first saw it. It’s one of the most luxurious lipsticks I’ve tried and is the first GIVENCHY lipstick that I’ve ever purchased. I can’t believe it’s taken me so long - I’m in love!
\n\nI'm obsessed with a bold burgundy lip - especially in the autumn/ winter months - and this deep plum-berry is the ideal shade for making a statement. It’s packed with tiny glitters for an iridescent veil of colour that’s like a deep purple sky full of stars.
\n\nAnd - of course - I need to tell you about the bullet - it’s a showstopper! It’s encased in thousands of black and silver sparkles for a truly luxurious and couture design, flecked with red shimmers for a truly high-end finish that’s unapologetically GIVENCHY.

7. The Statement Eye Palette
I am a massive fan of a glamorous eye. When I first saw the Urban Decay Stoned Vibes Eyeshadow Palette, I knew it was going to be up my street! Urban Decay is known for their eyeshadow palettes, but this one is extra special. The sparkles in each highly pigmented pan make these pop when they’re on the eyes.
Each colour is amazing; however, if I had to pick my favourite shades, they would be; Antidote (applied with a brush) and then Meditate (applied with finger). This combination dresses the eye in luxury! I couldn’t forget to mention the Jade shade either – this is something I’d wear in the night going out for drinks/to dinner when I want something a bit moodier and impactful.
