My Favourite Fragrance Body Products
Share
Body products are a thing of beauty. That’s the reason why I’ll always buy a gift set over a single product, and why I consider myself to be an expert in the art of fragrance layering. I get myself overexcited when I see that my favourite fragrance has a free gift of a shower gel or a body lotion (and almost have an aneurism when it’s something more exotic like a body powder).
It pains me that body products don’t get enough props, so I’ve compiled a list of my very favourites so that you can discover their delights too…
YSL Belle d’Opium Shower Gel
When the intense scent of the Eau de Parfum proves to be a little much, I take a shower with this gorgeous blend of heavy notes and body moisturising ingredients and the scent subtly lingers all day long. I even use this to wash my hair before a night out so that I can conserve my precious Eau de Parfum for a little longer. Whereas the scent of the Belle d’Opium Eau de Parfum is a little bit hit and miss with my friends who prefer lighter scents, they’re full of compliments when I wash with this shower gel.
YSL Elle Body Lotion
This is an old favourite that I come back to time and time again. It has such a gorgeously light consistency that you can slather it on and instantly get dressed. The fragrance is gorgeous too; its made up of predominantly woody notes that blend with your natural scent really well, and when the warmth of your body heats the fragrance up you smell incredible. I apply a little bit of the Eau de Parfum to my pulse points after slathering on the body lotion, and then I don’t need to reapply for the entire day.
Miss Dior Cherie Body Creme
I was lucky enough to nab one of these at a greatly reduced price a few years ago, and the texture was so unusual that I just had to have it. It’s a sort of soufflé-cream consistency that makes you want to mould and play with it, and it’s just so much fun to apply. The formulation is really densely fragranced with the fruitiness of Miss Dior Cherie, so you do get a lot of fragrance for your buck. Despite being a body crème, it’s a surprisingly light blend that keeps skin supple and soft with a pearly sheen.
CKIN2U Her Body Wash
This is my go-to shower gel in the summer when I want to smell nice but don’t want to wear a fragrance. The intense heat of summer can make fragrances a little overbearing, but washing with the CKIN2U Her Body Wash leaves just the right amount of scent – subtle yet detectable. I discovered this gel when I bought the CKIN2U Her set a couple of years ago, and I used this more than the actual fragrance!
Lolita Lempicka L Perfumed Bath Soap
I’m not normally the biggest fan of soap but I love the Lolita Lempicka L fragrance, and I’ll admit that I was instantly seduced by the packaging. The scent of this one is perfect for sunny days; it’s so refreshing and wild, with orange, cinnamon, immortal flower and woods. This soap is so richly lathering and delicious that I stay in the shower for ages. I even have a go at washing my hair with it – but I do have to use a deeply moisturising conditioner afterwards. It’s my go-to product when I’m particularly grimy as it cuts through dirt brilliantly.
