Inside Chelsey's Makeup Bag

Chelsey - What's In My Makeup Bag

Chelsey Signature copy

Most people love an AM gym session, or maybe a spot of morning meditation, but the only place you’ll find me before work time is half asleep at my dressing table with the only friend I can rely on to be awake at 6:45am with me every morning: my makeup bag.

Anything that causes an immediate wow factor, I adore. So my makeup bag must-haves only ever include instant transformers that can take me from Charlize Theron in Monster to Charlize Theron for J’adore, pronto!

Glued at the hip, we go everywhere together but I won’t lie, I do tend to shake it up sometimes by adding new products into the mix, but there are a few items that have kept me loyal. Fully committed to the cause, here’s what’s got me hooked…

Breaker Small

Chelsey - Guerlain Maxi Lash

The Ferrari of Mascaras

Guerlain Cils D’Enfer Maxi Lash So Volume Mascara
After years of settling for ‘OK’ mascaras, I stumbled across Ruth from A Model Recommends’ post about this being the Ferrari of mascaras, and by golly was she right. Whether you play it down with one coat or dress up it up with two, Guerlain Maxi Lash So Volume gives life to your complexion, even if you can’t be bothered with applying all of the rest.

Chelsey - The Real Deal Concealer

The Daily Essential

Laura Geller The Real Deal Concealer
I can’t even pop down to the shop without it. Its full coverage, creamy texture is a necessity for my unpredictable complexion. One thing I love about this instantaneous veil is that I can use it in so many different ways! Under eyes, blemishes, brow highlight… it’s a complete game changer!

Chelsey - Vichy Dermablend Powder

The Hero Product

Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder
I tried and tried to keep this as my ‘night out’ face powder, but the results were simply too good and I had to succumb. My discovery of this hero powder was back last April during our one of our French Pharmacy events, and it’s been a repeat purchase ever since. Suitable for ‘baking’, setting and pro-longing your make-up, all beauty lovers need it!

Chelsey - Shiseido Brow Pencil

The Wildcard

Shiseido Natural Eyebrow Pencil
If, like me, dealing with gappy and un-equal eyebrows is all part of your morning struggle, this nifty pencil will take your brow game up a notch with its defined yet natural finish. You can have your cake and eat it with this one; its unusual texture is so similar to that of a Staedtler Noris 120 Pencil that provides your hairs with the most subtle yet structured finish – it just works!

Chelsey - Daniel Sandler

The Instant Cheekbones

Daniel Sandler Sculpt and Slim-Effect Contour Face Powder
I need all of the help I can get when mimicking cheekbones, so I owe Daniel Sandler all of the thanks in the world for developing this speedy enhancer. Simple and effective, its dual sided compact lets me sculpt and shape my complexion in three easy swipes, even before I’ve had my morning coffee.

Over to you!
