Guerlain Rose Aux Joues Review, Pictures and Swatches

Last week I unveiled the ultra covetable Guerlain Rouge G L’Extrait Lip Colours from the Guerlain autumn 2012 make-up look. Today I bring you another treat from the collection – the luxurious Guerlain Rose Aux Joues Blush Duo.
Each compact contains two complimentary hues: a main shade for a flush of colour, and a secondary shade for for a sculpted finish. Use separately or blend together for a tailored blush.
I swatched each of the six new colours in the range and fell in love with the pigmentation, the finish and that signature, heavyweight Guerlain compact..

Guerlain Rose Aux Joues 01 – Peach Boy
Peach Boy is the ultimate complexion brightener. The main shade offers a pop of sweet, matte coral orange for a healthy look, while the complimentary shade offers a sheer peach with golden shimmer for a 3-dimensional glow. Use separately for two entirely different blush looks, or swirl together for gorgeous, multifaceted colour.
Guerlain Rose Aux Joues 02 – Chic Pink
Chic Pink ensures sophistication with its muted pink tones. It is ideal for an English Rose look, with a deep rose main shade with subtle golden shimmer, together with a matte pale rose pink as an accent colour. They are both neutral shades, and suit most complexions.
Guerlain Rose Aux Joues 03 – Over Rose
Over Rose is a saturated pink shade that leans a little cooler than Chic Pink. It is a great instant enlivener! The main shade is a vivid cerise pink with microshimmer, while the complimentary shade is a matte, cool-toned pale pink.
Guerlain Rose Aux Joues 04 – Pink Punk
The final pink entry in the Rose Aux Joues blush collection is Pink Punk, a pair of vivid, matte shades that contrast each other, yet are perfectly harmonious. The main shade is a bright and bold pink, while the complimentary shade sizzles in a browned plum hue.
Guerlain Rose Aux Joues 05 – in Golden High
For a subtly bronzed complexion, look no further than the glowy tones of Golden High. The metallic bronze main shade is perfect for adding a bit of sunshine, while the contrasting pale peach shade brightens.
Guerlain Rose Aux Joues 06 – Red Hot
Red Hot presents an intensely warming pair of colours that are intensely pigmented and sculpt the cheeks beautifully. The main shade is a terracotta red, while the contrasting shade is more orange-toned.
