Why Goldenland Is Our Favourite GUERLAIN Christmas Collection Yet
GUERLAIN’s 2019 limited edition Goldenland makeup collection is here, and it’s just as dreamy as I expected. I’m obsessed. Why? Its glittery-gold packaging is everything I adore about the festive season. Oh, and the formulas are to-die-for! Not to mention, some icons such as Terracotta, Rouge G and Meteorites have been transformed for the season (great news for us mega-fans). Goldenland is my favourite GUERLAIN collection yet!

#1 GUERLAIN Goldenland Palette
It’s not often that you find a palette where you could wear every shade. But, the Goldenland Palette has blown me away with its wearable selection of statement shades in neutral to khaki, and matte to metallic finishes. And did I mention they are super-pigmented too and ultra-blendable. Wet or dry, these creamy shades provide endless colour combinations, whether you’re after a soft ‘au naturel’ look or a head-turning smoky eye. Plus, the golden mosaic case is reusable; so, when you get to the bottom of your eyeshadows you can still use it as a cute clutch, which I’m totally down for!

#2 GUERLAIN Meteorites Goldenland
Meteorites has had a few makeovers over the years, but Meteorites Goldenland might be the best yet. It features everything I love about Meteorites: its familiar parma violets-like scent, illuminating pearls and elegant case – and, of course, a few golden tweaks to remind you it’s a Christmas edition. The classic pot has been dripped in gold, and its pearls, coloured in festive copper, gold and sparkling white. It still delivers the light-reflecting power you know and love too, with an added bronzed/golden sheen that screams Christmas party. And, the tin can be re-used too, which is great news if you’re into getting the most out of every purchase like I am. Now, I can keep it forever!
#3 GUERLAIN Rouge G Lipstick Refill
Every die-hard GUERLAIN fan’s Christmas isn’t complete without a new Rouge G festive shade to see out the year. And, I have to say that there’s something extra special about this year’s limited edition Rouge G shade line-up; there’s matte burgundy, metallic gold and satin pink, you’re really spoilt for choice! It’s also infused with the same coveted formula of jojoba, mango butter, hydrating hyaluronic acid you’ll be happy to hear. As I type this I know there’s a Rouge G fan who is itching to try these lipsticks out for size. And, if you’re anything like me, choosing just one will be hard. My answer? Buy them all.

#4 GUERLAIN Rouge G Lipstick Case
I had a glint in my eyes the first time the stunning Rouge G Cases arrived at my desk. My first thought was: “my Rouge G is definitely getting a Christmas case”. Now available in deep red, lacquered black and metallic gold, these textured cases are the perfect accessory to embellish your Christmas outfit. My favourite? Wonder Gold, of course, ‘tis the season after all! I can promise you that there is a beauty lover (like me) that will go crazy for this.
#5 GUERLAIN Terracotta Goldenland
I adore everything Terracotta; and I’m low-key collector, so naturally I fell head over heels for the Goldenland Illuminating Powder. As soon as I pop off the lid, I get a wave of Terracotta’s summery smell. Inside, its yellow-gold powder isn’t like anything else I own (and, I have a lot of highlighters). Its unique, warm-gold colour is gorgeous for this time of year! On my fair skin, it wears perfectly as a statement highlighter, and as a shimmering golden eyeshadow too.
Any fellow beauty lovers will I agree with me when I say: I shed a small tear when I hit the bottom of my highlighter. So, I love that when you’re finished, its case doubles as a place to store small pieces of jewellery for when you’re on-the-go.
