Oh, Givenchy. You’ve heard our pleas for some summer sun haven’t you? Earlier than expected, they’ve dropped the highly anticipated Givenchy Les Saisons Gypsophila summer look, and it’s completely and utterly gorgeous.
Inspired by the iconic Gypsophila print found across Givenchy’s fashion and leather goods, this collection captures the intricate beauty of little tiny’s breath blooms. In the collection you’ll find the star of the collection, the statement Floral Edition Les Saisons Healthy Glow Powder palette, plus brand new shades of Le Rouge, Le Rouge-A-Porter, Noir Couture Volume Waterproof Mascara and Encre a Cils Mascara Top Coat.
It’s everything you need to step into the halycon days of summer with the perfect sunkissed glow. Ready to dive in?
Les Saisons Healthy Glow Powder
in 02 Douce Saison
It’s not often that a makeup product has the ability to take my breath away, but opening up the Floral Edition Les Saisons Healthy Glow Powder was a seriously special moment. I already adore the Les Saisons Healthy Glow Powder in its normal format (see it in action here), but this limited edition palette with its oversized format and delicately sculpted gypsophila (baby’s breath) petals creates opens up a whole new world of beauty brilliance.
Its collector-worthy aesthetic aside, the Les Saisons Healthy Glow Powder is a wonderful ‘bonne mine’ effect complexion enhancer that you need in your collection. Its clever formula is created from a liquid gel that is evaporated to leave behind only pigment, ensuring a really natural, translucent effect on the skin that is the epitome of sunkissed – there’s no cakey talc here. Add to this a panoramic mirror, weightless moisturising ingredients and the aforementioned HUGE size of the palette, and it’s instant love from me.
Le Rouge
in 322 Coral Gypsophila
Another instant classic in this capsule collection is the Le Rouge Lipstick in 322 Coral Gypsophila. This is a special edition in every sense of the word; not only is this a brand new, never-before-seen lipstick shade in the Le Rouge line-up, but the classic Le Rouge leather packaging has been reimagined in crisp mint green for one season only.
As for the colour? Well, 322 Coral Gypsophila is a vivid flash of pinked orange that’s perfect for the summer. It’s the sort of shade that’ll instantly brighten up your complexion without the need for lots of other makeup, which is just what you need for the hazy days of summer. When paired with the opaque, velveteen finish of Le Rouge, you have the ideal summer lip.
Le Rouge-A-Porter
in 305 Red Gypsophila
For a more pared-back summer lip, the Le Rouge-A-Porter Lipstick in 305 Red Gypsophila is ideal. This balmy lipstick is presented in the same limited edition mint green leather as Le Rouge, albeit slimmer and a little longer, and finished with a signature Givenchy stud.
The poppy red shade within is a brilliant pick-me-up hue that will take you from day to night beautifully, whilst the ultra-moisturising and shiny Le Rouge-A-Porter formulation will ensure a supremely comfortable wear throughout.
Noir Couture Volume Waterproof Mascara
in 02 Blue Gypsophila
For eyes, things get even more colourful. The Gypsophila Les Saisons collection introduces a brand new, limited edition shade of the bestselling Givenchy Noir Couture Volume Waterproof Mascara in 02 Blue Gypsophila, a vivid electric blue that is so very striking.
The curling, lengthening and volumising formula of Noir Couture Volume Waterproof remains the same, with its innovative three-ball mascara head that allows you to build up incredible texture. Its waterproof finish also makes this perfect for the holiday season!
Encre A Cils Mascara Top Coat
in 03 Green Gypsophila
And finally, another way to light up your eyes for the summer. The Encre a Cils Mascara Top Coat is a Givenchy innovation for those who want to play with the texture and colour of their lashes. This season sees the launch of shade 03 Green Gypsophila, a mermaid-like metallic aquamarine hue that’s half blue, half green and completely beautiful.
The difference with Encre a Cils lies in its applicator; the doe foot format means that you glide the wand across your lashes rather than comb colour through, which gives a really subtle, textured effect. You can run the colour from the roots to the tips of your lashes for a more dramatic effect, or to keep things subtle, touch the doe foot to the very tips of your lashes for a flash of colour.
