Giorgio Armani Si Review

Giorgio Armani Si is all about the elegance. The bottle is pared back and luxurious, its face Cate Blanchett is suitably timeless, and its advertising campaign is as far removed from Armani’s usual Italian voluptuousness as you can get. Even its launch was a steamlined affair. Given all of these subdued cues, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the Si juice would be similarly as restrained – well, prepare to be surprised!
The first wave of fragrance is all about the cassis and mandarin, a combination that is simultaneously zesty and velvety. As the scent develops the fruitiness subsides, but that signature zesty-velvety combination continues thanks to rose de mai, neroli and jasmine, all in potent absolute concentrations. It’s Si’s delicious base of patchouli, woods, vanilla and amber that’s my favourite part, though – it’s distinctive, warm and creamy, and gives the fragrance magnificent longevity. This is a confident statement of a fragrance, but one that won’t overwhelm the senses. It’s the perfect choice for Christmas!
The bottle is classic, with plenty of small, luxurious touches to set it apart from the others on your dressing table. Made of heavyweight glass, with curved sides and rounded edges, it’s a really timeless design. It’s finished with a monogrammed atomiser, a black onyx-inspired, weighty cap, and the bottom is edged in gold-effect metal. It’s really very pretty.
