If you’re looking for a sweet and romantic look for Valentine’s Day, whether you have a date or not, we think we’ve created just the thing. Taking inspiration from the Dior Cherie Bow look (with a little dash of Audrey Hepburn), our Romantic Look is all about flawless skin, heavily lined eyes and a petal pink mouth. If that sounds like your thing, read on…
For this look, the skin should be radiant. To achieve this, coverage should be light to medium, with a dewy, natural finish. The perfect foundation for the job is the Diorskin Nude Foundation, a lightweight mineral-infused fluid that blends seamlessly and promotes a fresh look. Use the Dior Fluid Foundation Light Coverage to work it into the skin, and apply a little more coverage where needed.
If there’s one product that sums up our romantic look, it’s the Dior Blush in Pink In Love. The playful candy pink produces an ideal ‘pinched’ and youthful flush when worn high on the apples of the cheeks. Apply with a fluffy brush for a diffused, natural-looking finish.
Create a flattering glow with some strategic highlighting. We used two products for this: the Dior Skinflash Pen in Rose Glow to brighten the undereye area, and the DiorSkin Primer (shown above) which is designed to be worn underneath foundation, but looks equally as incredible when daubed and blended along the cheekbones.
We were inspired by the Dior Cherie Bow Look when creating our romantic eye – specifically that timeless slick of black liner. We find the easiest way to get the perfect line is to thicken it little by little. Begin by tracing the DiorLiner in Black close to the lash line, before going back and adjusting the width to your preference.
Finish with a small cat-eye flick at the outside corner of the eye – it makes eyes look so fresh and wide awake. Finish up with lashings of the original and classic Diorshow Blackout Mascara.
We’ve finished off our look with the Dior Addict Lipstick in 476 Paris, a gorgeous shade of fuchsia-tinged pink. The glossy finish of the Addict lipstick is well suited to a more casual look like this, and when applied it feels as comfortable as a balm. Apply with the Dior Backstage Lip Brush for greater lasting power.
And there you have it, our finished romantic look! We think Lauren looks beautiful – a contrast of dark and light, sultriness and sweetness. What do you think?
