This October we’re raising money for Breast Cancer Care Awareness Month – and we need your help!

All month long we’re asking you to raise money by daring to bare. That is, by baring your beautiful skin and going makeup-free for a day, a few days or even the entire month.

There are plenty of ways to get involved! If you’d like to #DareToBare yourself, join our Just Giving team and encourage your friends, family and workmates to sponsor you for going about your day makeup-free. Plus, be one of the first 1000 to tweet a barefaced selfie to @escentualdotcom using #DareToBare and we’ll add £1 to the donation pot.

We’re also offering a 10% donation to Breast Cancer Care on five bestselling skincare products this month. Here’s the run down on about those key skin preppers, so you can truly be ready to Dare To Bare!

Dare to Bare Skincare Pink Products

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution

The first step in your routine is to cleanse and prep the skin for the day ahead. You want your complexion to be fresh and clean without feeling irritated, which is just what you get from the much-lauded Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution. Formulated for sensitive skin, it’s mild yet effective in removing impurities and balancing out the skin. It’s also fantastically refreshing thanks to its soothing and decongesting active ingredients, and its mild alcohol-free formula.

If that wasn’t enough of a testimonial, this cult product in the making was also the winner of our Micellar Water Trial, as voted for by 100 beauty writers!

Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion with Rose Petals

If you use a traditional cream or gel cleanser in the morning then this beautifully scented, coconut-based Gentle Toning Lotion from Nuxe is an ideal partner. It does a great job of putting the moisture back in after the cleansing process thanks to a combination of natural hyaluronic acid and Damascena rose water, which is also known for its soothing and cooling properties.

If you suffer from redness, then this clarifying toner could be just the thing to unify your complexion. Smooth all over the face with a cotton pad to remove any lasting traces of cleanser and calm the skin.

Vichy Idealia Smoothing and Illuminating Cream

Vichy Idealia Life Serum

Once your cleansing and prepping is all done, it’s time to break out the skin-perfecting powerhouse: serum. The newest innovation from Vichy for creating smoother, more even skin is called the Idealia Life Serum, and it’s really very good. Its main concern is repairing the damage inflicted upon your skin by everyday life, including pollution and stress, and works to restore its radiance, vitality and even tone with LHAs and protective ingredients. And while it does its thing repairing the structure of the skin, it also makes the complexion instantly more radiant with an illuminating, opalescent texture made up of golden and red pearls.

Vichy Idealia Smoothing and Illuminating Cream

If you’ve got dry skin, then it’s good to follow up your serum application with a great moisturiser. Our favourite is the sister product to the Vichy Idealia Life Serum: the Vichy Idealia Smoothing and Illuminating Cream. Like the serum, it’s all about creating an ideal skin texture, booting the vitality of the complexion and smoothing out unrefined pores. Available for both Normal to Combination skin (an aerated gel-cream) and Dry Skin (a rich cream), the daily moisturiser ensures the complexion looks and feels healthier, fresher and more youthful.

Caudalie Vinosource SOS Morning Eye Rescue

Caudalie Vinosource SOS Morning Eye Rescue

A great morning skincare routine wouldn’t be complete without a reviving eye cream, and this superstar formula is made with barely-awake, bleary eyes in mind. The Caudalie Vinosource SOS Morning Eye Rescue instantly peps up the eye area and decongests puffiness with detoxifying white tea extract, while organic grape water and polyphenols moisturise the skin and sets to work on dark circles. Best of all, the cream is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and oil-free, so even really sensitive eyes can benefit from the brightening formula.

So that’s it – our ideal skincare routine to get you all ready to #DaretoBare this October! Remember, if you’d like to get involved in raising money for Breast Cancer Care the above products each have a 10% donation to the charity for the entire month, or you can get sponsored to Dare To Bare by joining our JustGiving team.
