Chanel set up a show in the 2023/24 Métiers d’art collection in the heart of North Manchester. Creative Director Virginie Viard honed on classic, timeless shapes and materials like knit and tweed that are synonymous with Great Britain.
As Manchester takes centre stage in fashion and pop culture, its attendees mirror this vibrant spirit. Notable VIPs, including Hugh Grant and Tilda Swinton, graced the event. A subtle homage to Manchester’s illustrious pop history was woven into the fabric as Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher’s sons Gene and Lennon Gallagher and his brother Noel’s daughter Anais also attended.
